Just like I did the first time, I'm about to make HISTORY!!!!!!" *thirty minutes later* *Vince McMahon sits in the back of a police car covered in blood, while Ted Turner's dead body lies in the background* Vince: "Something went horribly wrong!!!!" I lol'd at this.

What if WM was bomb threatened , would Vince still go ahead with it or would he bite the bullett and cancel WM despite a huge loss ?

I just got a funny image of Vince pulling a giant lever with the WWE logo on it.

I just got a funny image of Vince pulling a giant lever with the WWE logo on it. Vince McMahon would probably shut it down like Cartman at his own birthday party. "Matt Hardy? Party's over!"

Matt Hardy wins the World Championship all of a sudden... "Winner and NEW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION..." *No Chance in Hell* Vince: Effective immediately, WWE is no more. Sorry Matt, but seriously, it's kind of funny.

What if WM was bomb threatened , would Vince still go ahead with it or would he bite the bullett and cancel WM despite a huge loss ? I'd say a fair amount of large events like that, concerts and sporting events have regular bomb threats. I think they need a credible threat to go that far.

well hypothetically if that were to happen, my first thought would be : 1) is it on the start of the NBA season, cause I would then flip the channel to NBA TV, 2) if it was on a Monday, I'd go to sleep, Friday, I'd go out to drink lol, and 3) just turn on the PS3, and hopefully I'd already have Smackdown vs Raw 2011 or NBA Elite 11 or NBA 2K11 and just play. I wound wonder if the crappers would still go on Wrestlecrap if the WWE were to just shut down?

Let's say if, something like, Vince screwed up the corporate balance sheets, forcing the SEC to completely shut down WWE forever as of that very moment. Cena and the boys show up to the arena only to be turned away, not being told why the show was cancelled. Anybody that bought a ticket gets no refund. Anybody that bought tickets to a future WWE event gets no refund either. I can see the wrestlers not finding out until they went to the arena. But the audience would receive refunds, even if the arena had to issue them themselves and fight with what's left of the WWE to get their money back. They'd be risking rioting if they didn't. I'd be willing to bet that a majority of the customers paid for their merchandise with a CC. They'd easily be able to get those charges reversed. The few who don't would have to stand in line behind the rest of the people who the WWE would owe money to in hopes that they get their money back. USA would show a black screen for about a minute before airing a re-run of NCIS or one of their home-grown shows. MyNetwork would have four days to find something to put in Smackdown's place, and there's a ton of stuff Sci-Fi could air in place of NXT. I'm pretty sure we wouldn't be seeing black screens. Vince would have WAY, WAY too many other things taking up his time fighting with the SEC, his creditors, board of directors, stockholders, and on and on and on. His involvement in the aftermath would hover somewhere around zero. TNA is probably the only company in the world who could take a story that huge and f*** it up worse than Vince McMahon ever could. Even if they were to be able to hire Cena, Undertaker, Rey, etc., I doubt they'd be able to use that talent properly to catapult themselves to becoming a true force in the wrestling industry. I think we'd see a mix of national exposure and a return to the territorial days. This isn't the 70's any more -- Cable, satellite TV, and the internet all ensure that all these companies will have at least some form of national exposure, though none would be as big as the WWE. However, beyond TV, I think we'd generally see a return to the territory system, with each company holding house shows and TV tapings in their own little section of the country. Exclusive contracts would end, and I think we'd see a bidding war for top talent for short periods of time. A wrestler would sign on with one company for six months or so, then would start taking offers for the next six month period. No company would be big enough to be able to offer the multi-year guaranteed contracts that the WWE offers, and no wrestler would be stupid enough to sign one when they have no idea if the company would even be able to fulfill their end of the deal.
