I'm certain it's a work now - Cena would not be allowed to acknowledge him if Bryan was really gone. If he takes this to TV, it seals the deal. This is CENA we're talking about. Short of murdering someone or getting caught photographed smoking crack there isn't much he can do to be punished either way. Yeah. I'm not trying to disrespect anyone still calling work on it, but I think you may just want it to be so much you're letting it cloud your judgment. Nothing about this has shouted work since it first broke on Friday night. If Dragon gets brought back, it would be because of the backing of someone like Cena. I mean, say what you will about the reporter, but Meltzer even said all he's heard (and ROH fans have heard this for years) is that you want a locker room full of Bryan Danielsons. Can just hope for the best. But that was pure class from Cena.

So Cena rallys for a wrestler who was just released to come back to the WWE? We're talking about COMPANY MAN CENA here. A guy who doesn't stir up trouble backstage or do things like this....
Then he says: If for nothing else, to at least have a chance to have a match with him after what was done
IT'S A WORK
Or is it? Maybe not?

This has the Hardy situation all over it, except on a much larger scale. If they bring him back he could be huge.

I think it would be cool if other WWE stars started speaking up now that Cena has. I'd love to hear Jericho or Regals take on it. especially Regal, who's been pulling for Bryan to come to WWE for years.

Sounds like a plausible storyline. Cena doesn't want Bryan to get let off the hook after that attack with some corporate BS decision. It's about making an impact. So he'll petition for Bryan to come back and prove in a fair fight that he belongs in the big time.

Interesting message by Cena. I wonder if the sentiment is expressed outside the frame of a work, and if so how widespread it is in the roster.

Wow. Cena REALLY went to bat for the guy there. Even though it completely annhilates the kayfabe of the story, its stuff like this which fuels my respect for Cena.
