This has been a great week to be a wrestling fan. See, I feel the opposite. This doesn't change the fact that my interest in the NXT angle has plummeted in Danielson's absence.

This is all insane, and I love it. Even if Bryan is legit fired, it seems pretty clear at this point that he'll be back. So there's no use for me to be upset about it at this point. But the confusion of this all, the revival of kayfabe, having no idea wtf is happening... This is great. I'm genuinely hyped to see where this goes. This has been a great week to be a wrestling fan. I have to agree with this. This is the first time I can think of where nobody has any idea what the hell is going on. All the theories that have been created (which have been great to read btw) are astounding. I can't wait to see what happens.

Tomorrow will be interesting, but I keep feeling in the pit of my stomach like tomorrow might be the last stand of a compelling product in the WWE.

So is every smark in the land gonna start doing "We Want Bryan" chants at every WWE show from here on out?

So is every smark in the land gonna start doing "We Want Bryan" chants at every WWE show from here on out? I know Cena didn't have anything to do with it, but I'd love to see a ton of "Cena is not Better than Bryan" signs, just for kayfabe's sake. And because it's true.

Tomorrow will be interesting, but I keep feeling in the pit of my stomach like tomorrow might be the last stand of a compelling product in the WWE. That's a good way of putting it. They've been falling from compelling toward stilted/by-the-numbers for a long time now, and I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that we've hit a genuine crossroads. Are we all right with this kind of thing being a firing offense? If we are, we go down one road. If we're not, we go down another. Fans are objecting to this. The WWE's top star is objecting to this. If reports are to be believed, Vince himself was reluctant to do this. If there's ever a time when Vince is going to have a choice to turn back from this, it's here and now. What they say on Raw, and what the next couple of weeks bring with regard to action, will tell us what the future is going to look like.

In addition to any chants I'm hoping for signs that say either: "Mattel booked this show." Or one that says "this segment approved by Mattel" on one side, and on the other "Mattel is not going to be happy about this."
Seamus uses the lead pipe and the crowd chants "Mattel is watching"
the possibilities are endless

as much as i loved the NXT angle, don't you think that Daniel Bryan kind of hurt the groups heel heat because he's the most over babyface in the group? even if he didn't get fired i think he would of been the first to leave the group.

I'm pretty much happy now that work or shoot, Danielson will be with WWE. I'm also really amped for what's gonna happen on Raw.

Weirdly enough, no. I think that the strangling and the pure rage at Cena really pushed the fact that this guy may be a nice guy, he may be a genuine talent, but he's been pushed so far now that he's out of his mind. And his targets being Cena and Roberts, rather than Miz and Cole, emphasized that. He declared war on the WWE itself, not on the bad apples who screwed him over, and in doing so cemented the purpose of the NXT faction. Gabriel's a nice guy, too, you know? Slater never hurt anybody. Young was just generally trying to get along. Frankly, the only thing heelish about Barrett was that he had Jericho for a mentor. Otherwise, he was just a confident, talented guy. The point of their heelishness wasn't that they're zomg evol, but that they're angry. And in their anger, they've developed the pack mentality of feral dogs, ripping at anybody without caring who it is.

I am anticipating Raw the most I have since the attitude era. I just want to see what goes down. Granted I may be let down but I can still hope. Unlike most Mondays, I will not have to get up for work Tuesday so I am really looking forward to watching the whole thing. I am cautiously optimistic. Is it too early to start a Raw thread?

Whoever starts the Raw Thread the subtitle must be something like: "Raw Thread 6/14/10: Who the F even knows anymore?"
