Repeated misconduct. I know people like to think of Mickie James as this sweet innocent angel and the WWE as this evil corporate entity but they don't fire one of their top women for the hell of it. Yeah, generally being late a lot because of partying won't sit too well with your bosses, and that was the report after Mickie got fired. Add in the fact that she was being late during an international tour, when travel is already a pain in the ass thanks to the volcano, the fact that the Smackdown crew barely got out on time, and the Raw crew was stuck overseas, will make management even madder.

Where do I start with this. this is just horrible. it depends on who u are and what u do on whether u get fired or not. austin walked out on wwe to no punishment. No punishment? They had The Rock come out and bury him, pretty all they could do since he was no longer under contract. No. Simply because the WWE would NEVER get away with that. Not a sackable offense if it's a one time thing. It shows next to those great ring technicians Kelly Kelly and Tiffany? Yeah sure. Repeated misconduct. I know people like to think of Mickie James as this sweet innocent angel and the WWE as this evil corporate entity but they don't fire one of their top women for the hell of it. Serena was apparently drunk during a public appearence. In any job that's a sackable offense, especially if she'd been repeatedly warned. In what universe is the WWE at fault here? so it makes wwe look more like a joke than it already is. because in their world apparently being drunk is worse than getting arrested for domestic violence. and it obviously helps u keep your job

So, I just had an interesting thought. What if WWE caught wind of all this talk about Serena being released when they actually didn't, and are just having her say nothing about it to let the rumor spread like wildfire? Just saying, I won't be surprised if the headline on WWE.com tomorrow is "HA HA YOU SMARKS ARE ALL IDIOTS" or something like that.

If she goes to court and gets off whatever she is up for then she can turn round and sue them for unlawful dismissal. If she gets found guilty and sentenced, then that is likely when she will get released. People need to stop looking at this situation through fan eyes, or through lust eyes, and look at it through the eyes of an employer.

That was what I implied earlier with Innocent until Proven guilty remark... but you said it in a much more succinct as to why that actually matters in this case.

I have to admit I wondered that when Cole went started ripping the Internet for getting things wrong always, every single time. Probably just his standard deal as of late but it did make me wonder if they might be trying to embarrass some people.

I never said the news was definite, I just can't understand why people would think the WWE was in the wrong for firing someone for public drunkenness

She's a contracted employee, and her contract states it can be terminated at any time with 90 days notice.

If she violated express orders, she's an idiot who deserves to be released.
Whether you agree with the policy or not is irrelevant. Only a fool uses alcohol (in her case) or pot (in Kendrick's case) to take a stand against the company. At the end of the day, it's a job. If your boss tells you not to get drunk and high, and you get drunk and high, you deserve what you get.

Remember the whole debate over fidelity and morality that came with Mickie James' release?
