Are you guys serious?! That's not Serena, what the hell... This reminds me of the Lady Gaga Is a Hermaphrodite rumor. Some non-credible newz source says "SHES A HERMAPHRODITE!" then everyone jumps on it and claims it as 100% fact. You realise Lady Gaga said that herself. Yes, she was joking or seeking attention or whatever but it's still a bit more credible than some random source. The URL that kept getting posted about it was from a blogspot, which is at the very least, the most non-credible thing on the internet next to Da Black Brolly's Geocities page.

Not photoshopped. And from what I hear, on a bunch of wrestling websites, if you click a certain link, you'll see Serena naked. I'm pretty surprised that people believed that was Serena. People say it's far fetched to say people believe wrestling is real.

It still doesn't change the fact they are trying to half ass kayfabe. If they are trying to make people believe she is really straight edge, then why aren't they trying to make everyone else stay in character in public? It's just stupid that a company is trying to prevent an adult from having an enjoyable night out. She's not out getting arrested, picking fights with fans, talking s*** about the company, etc. Her being straight edge is a CHARACTER on TELEVISION. The problem is, if you get VERY drunk in an event hold by the WWE with tons of fans watching you, there is a problem I'm a little confused why people are having such a hard time grasping this.

Has anything official come out yet, though? WWE.com still doesn't have anything about it, and her profile is still up. I know she's going to be on Smackdown, so maybe they're waiting, but usually they don't tend to take their time on these things.

No. In Short if you have a gimmick where you lead a strict strightedge lifestyle then don't party it up. IT'S PRO WRESTLING. Kayfabe is DEAD. Unless you have someone like Kane going around acting like some f***ing monster in public, then telling other people to live their gimmick in public is STUPID. I guess Vince McMahon is Dr Frankenstien then, because kayfabe has been resurrected in a new form. The Daniel Bryan situation, Nexus, SES, Matt Hardy it's the new dawn of the kayfabe age.

Yeah, I really don't buy the "she's on Smackdown, so they're biding their time." Sure as hell didn't stop them from announcing the releases of former Smackdown talent. IIRC, both Mickie and Maria had their releases announced before their last Smackdown.

Plus, if she wasn't fired, wouldn't she have denied it instead of just saying, "You're the best fans in ANY universe"?

So once again, it looks like a well deserved firing. She was warned more than once and ignored them. There really isn't any excuse to be made for her.
I would bet there are a lot of female wrestlers out there who can't believe she would blow her opportunity like this. They work their butts off and would kill to get a chance to go to work for the wwe and to see a woman just blow it like that has to be frustrating. Especially since it's even harder these days since the wwe only wants models most of the time.

- If she was drinking at company-sponsored events, then yes, they have every right to fire her.
- If her driking was affecting her ability to do her job, then yes, they have every right to fire her.
- If her drinking was bringing negative publicity to the company, or possibly harming its reputation in some other way (i.e, she was getting in trouble with the law, or repeatedly making a public spectacle of herself and drawing media attention) then yes, they have every right to fire her.
- However, if she was drinking on her own time, still doing her job to the best of her abilities, and not harming the company's reputation, then it's none of WWE's damn business what she does, and they were completely out of line when they fired her. If this does happen to be the case, then it should finally put to rest WWE's B.S. claims that their workers are "independent contractors".
But really, until we have more complete details, we can't judge the decision.

I was really hoping that this was going to come to a trial when it was brought up by, who, Raven or Kanyon? Instead it was dismissed based on procedure. There doesn't seem to be any real way to consider the wrestlers independent contractors.

She's an independant contractor. They can pretty much dump her at any time, for any to no reason.

this is just horrible. it depends on who u are and what u do on whether u get fired or not. austin walked out on wwe to no punishment.
batista was basically telling divas to screw him or get fired.
and triple h was blowing spots with a live mic near by on LIVE tv.
michelle mc cool is where she is because if who she is married to......shes a poor in ring worker and it shows. also she tried to give wrestling lessons to a member of the hart family. that in itself deserves a pink slip.
they released mickie james....for what?!

The first three you can't legitimately be comparing to Serena in any way. For one thing, as far as favoritism goes, it exists in EVERY job you'll ever have; but moreso, you're talking about three of the biggest stars (one THE biggest) of the last fifteen years; of course they're gonna get more leeway than an easily replaceable diva. Michelle Mccool is decent in the ring, say what you will about everything else, especially if you're comparing her to Mickie James who spent the last two years of her tenure botching nigh every match. The Serena thing, while unfortunate for her, is in the scheme of things not that big a deal at all AND if the reasons coming out are true, are totally justified.

Where do I start with this. this is just horrible. it depends on who u are and what u do on whether u get fired or not. austin walked out on wwe to no punishment. No punishment? They had The Rock come out and bury him, pretty all they could do since he was no longer under contract. No. Simply because the WWE would NEVER get away with that. Not a sackable offense if it's a one time thing. It shows next to those great ring technicians Kelly Kelly and Tiffany? Yeah sure. Repeated misconduct. I know people like to think of Mickie James as this sweet innocent angel and the WWE as this evil corporate entity but they don't fire one of their top women for the hell of it. Serena was apparently drunk during a public appearence. In any job that's a sackable offense, especially if she'd been repeatedly warned. In what universe is the WWE at fault here?
