Okay, that was the most unbelievable thing I've ever seen. As in, it is not believable that somebody can take a DDT onto a concrete floor, then have the energy to pin Gabriel and make Barrett tap, then shake it off after a 30 second breather. That was just plain ridiculous.

He does it almost every match, and certainly every ppv.
He may be a good guy irl, but his character and ability to sell for anything longer than a few seconds is utterly laughable.

It happens every PPV. He was set on fire once and he still managed to come back from that.

winning the match was predictable, I just dont understand how he in kayfabe should be able to recover like that.

They had the perfect setup for him to just snap and turn tonight the way they wouldn't let him in the match then when Edge and Jericho attacked him... but nope, same Old Crap. They've already got Orton to take over as the number 1 face so they seriously need to turn him. Hopefully they planted seeds for it tonight and it'll happen in time for a face Orton vs. heel Cena match at Mania.

Well, if WWE wants to sell their new purple Cena t-shirts, they have to make the man look good in the kids eyes.

Honestly, I don't even have a problem with him shaking off the DDT and pinning Gabriel after he missed the 450. I've come to expect that from Cena.
What I have a problem with is that Cena was able to made Wade Barrett, the leader of the Nexus and future main eventer, tap less than a minute later. Seriously, couldn't they have dragged out the match at least another two or three minutes?!

Anyone remember a story in one of Mick Foley's books? Al Snow takes a chair shot to the head. He gets up and laughs. Another gets up and laughs. But he's supposed to be selling.
Turns out the first show knocked him loopy. They could say this happened to Cena.
In fact, footage of him collapsing backstage, post-match? That'd be something.

It took Cena 30 seconds to shake it off? The old 2005 Cena would have recovered in 10 seconds!

This isn't anything new, it's the only match Cena knows how to wrestle.
Get beat up, take some stupid bump (make sure not to sell it for more than 20 senconds so impressionable kids aren't fooled into thinking actions have consequences), jump up hit finisher pin/STF, immediately jump up like nothing happened.

The DDT on concrete on Ricky Steamboat damn near killed him.
Cena's up and pinning people and making people tap out about a minute later.
Yup, just another day of SuperCena booking. Originality be damned!

Cena should've at least held his head.

Heels are boring and annoying and Orton will never completly replace Cena as top face. He's Randy Savage to Hulk Hogan.

Originality be damned! Yeah, instead they should have gone with the nWo beginning or the Invasion beginning. That's totally original!

Cena should've at least held his head. John Cena has an aversion to selling.

Not overcome the odds. Something.

Agree 100%. A DDT to the concrete floor and generally being beaten down during the match then within 1 minute of taking the DDT he's eliminated 2 guys and won the match!!! BULLSHIT. I've watched and followed WWF/E a long time (20 years approx) and if I was 8 years old again I'd likely say "Bullshit" too. Oh, and beating Nexus is a great way to kill fresh talent and their push. Who books this garbage???
Cena is just so unbelieveable I want him to lose badly.....FOR ONCE. But we won't see that in PG era WWE.

I didn't have a problem with Cena winning. After Kane destroyed Rey AND Taker they needed a happy note to send the fans home happy.
I just wish Cena would have sold more in his comeback and post match celebration. Moving out of the way of the 450 was ok because it was a purely defensive move and Gabriel has played up the high risk aspect of it showing pain even when he hits it successfully. If Cena had crawled over and covered him it wouldn't have been a problem.
Cena's great at selling beatings, I just wish he'd do it consistantly. There's a way to win matches while still putting over your opponents offense. He could hold his neck while he celebrates or wince in pain every couple of seconds. It makes him look tougher to barely survive the match than to spring up like Superman.
Maybe they realized they were running out of time or something and had to end the match quickly?
Still, great match and even the ending doesn't negate that for me. I really had the feeling it could go either way and that all bets were off, which is how a great match should feel.
