Wait...technically Kurt Angle COULD be at One Night Stand under our standards, though. He had his in ring appearance where Joey brought him out to the ring and they played the Olympic theme. Technicality, but hey, it's better than Cena or Trips being there. You failed to mention Taz had a kinda confrontation with him, then, too.

I don't recall Kurt being part of the crusifiction angle. I believe he was in the crowd that night and he did have brief association with ECW. As far as I know Angle never appeared on any ECW show. He was supposed to come out the night of the crucifixion situation with Raven and Sandman but he was so outraged that he just left. Actually Angle did appear on a ECW TV taping, it was a match between Taz vs. Little Guido (Nunzio) and he did commentary along Joey Styles. It was before the crucification w/Raven and Sandman, from October of 96.

I'd only like to Cena there if New Jack was going to be there, I don't really need to say much more.

Yeah, it should only be ECW "faithful" not guys who more or less passed through (Hall, Sid, even though I'm a mark for both of those two)

There's been a lot of talk about ECW fans just waiting to boo the crap out of Triple H and John Cena, but I've been wondering which WWE wrestlers they wouldn't boo? I'm referring, of course, to guys who've never been in ECW. I could picture the crowd being receptive to Paul London or Spanky.I'm wondering if Kurt Angle would be crapped on, although he was involved to an extent in the crucification incident. If Shelton Benjamin were face, maybe he would be accepted, too. But despite what JR tried to pass off, last year, Snitsky would not be a perfect fit in ECW. Thoughts? If Benjamin was in ECW, he would be one of the most over tweeners there. Angle? He would be heel but would get just more unique cheers than he's used to. He ring skills would get him cheered much like Benjamin. Mickie would be just as OVER in ECW as she is in the WWE. Cena in ECW? Probably some of the funniest unintentional comedy ever presented on television.

Mickie would be just as OVER in ECW as she is in the WWE. NO. He'd be the new Don E. Allen.

so, you don't want scott hall there? As much as I'd like to see Hall in the ring again, I would keep him out of an ECW reunion show. Same goes for Jake Roberts, and every other former WWF star who made a 1-time appearance in ECW. Y'know what I'd like to see? Remember how Tommy Dreamer used to be involved in a strange love triangle with Luna Vachon and Vampire Warrior (Gangrel)? I'd like to see Luna get into a fued with Beulah (Tommy's wife) over Tommy Dreamer.

Other than ROHers like London and Spanky, I don't see too many WWE wrestlers getting over. ECW fans see them as indy wrestlers (much like what ECW was basically filled with) so it would get them over just a tad more in the ECW crowd maybe.

What's the deal with the 'crucifixion' angle you guys keep talking about? I can't seem to find any info on it...

It's on the Rise and Fall of ECW DVD. Raven and the BWO crucified Sandman and Raven had to go out and apologize becuase it offended the ECW audience. Now that is saying something.

You know, it wasn't that bad. In fact, it was more silence than offense. People forget that there was a Cactus Jack shirt that was popular amongst some fans at the arena and on it, Jack was crucified with barbed wire. The apology was done more for Angle than to the fans, I believe, despite what Paul E. might claim. Sandman also thinks the apology was stupid, and I'd agree. I think the only people in the lockeroom who hated it were Joey Styles and Taz. EDIT: and those guys had issues with Heyman and Gordon and Raven because they were Jewish. Sandman isn't, and I know Stevie Richards isn't. I can't speak for Meanie's background, though.

If the WWE HAS to make stupid decisions & put people in who shouldn't be there, well...I'd go with Fit Finlay as the only person I can think of who might get a good response only after a bloody battle all across the arena & with him jobbing cleanly.
& that's if they'd use Mr. Finlay.
