I was just watching one of the Slaughter/Sheik matches, from MSG, and i gotta say, the crowd went nuts for every little thing Slaughter did. Back rake, boot to the gut, it didn't matter, the crowd went ballistic. This is the reason i miss kayfabe; the fans bought into it 100%.

That ROH match between the guy who was coming back from Cancer and the other Japanese guy from a few years ago had the craziest crowd this side of Hogan vs Rock and Eddie vs Brock

Weird... STORY TELLING got a reaction....
Every new wrestler should be required to view old stuff like this... and don't give me that "it's changed BS!" These veterns knew how to tell a story in the ring and how to feel the crowd... not just go form move a to move b to move c...

Yeah the fans went crazy for Joe vs Kobashi. There was a "this is awesome chant" after a slap and a tie-up

Oh, and I'd like to add one. I went to a Raw in Atlanta in February 2000. The main event was Benoit, Malenko, Saturn, HHH, and X-Pac vs. The Rock, Cactus Jack, Too Cool, and Rikishi.
Good lord the crowd was electric. After seeing the tape, I was blown away at how much louder our crowd was than others. It can very easily be found on youtube if you just search "Raw February 2000"
I'd also like to mention the crowd for Hogan and Goldberg. Just watch the pop when Goldberg won the title. I remember a 40 + year old man sitting behind me and just going ballistic. He grabbed me by the shoulders and screamed "HE DID IT! OH GOD HE DID IT!!!!". I was 11...

I was at the first international TNA house show, in Liverpool a few years back, and that was pretty insane

Demoliton vs Hart Foundation, Summerslam '88
The crowd reall grew into that one, and was hugely behind the Harts toward the denoument of the match, going apeshit for every move, especially when it looked like the Harts would win the match. When Demolition clobbered Neidhart with the megaphone and pinned him, an incredible hushed silence fell over the crowd.

When Hogan Returned to Freedom Hall in Louisville in 2003 for the build up for his match with McMahon at Mania. That place went ape shit for like 15 minutes. It was insane. I am not even a Hogan Mark but at that moment in time I felt like I was inside the biggest pop of all time. Every time he tried to speak it just went nuts again. They edited it down on TV but it lasted FOREVER

I've got an Arn Anderson compilation around here, and there's a cage match with Arn and Ole taking on the Rock n Roll Express. Right off the bat, before everybody's in the ring, you think, "Damn, that's a hot crowd." Once the Andersons start doing their thing and Ricky starts, as he might say, "selling like a son of a bitch," it gets insane. Someone called me while I was watching it and they immediately said, "What the hell is going on over there?"

I was at the match where Chris Jericho "won" the WWF Title from Triple H in April 2000. That was bonkers.
The nWo vs Luger/Arn/Flair War Games match in 1996 had an INSANELY pro-WCW crowd.

I'm a little bias because I was there. But the flag match from july 21 1997 RAW in Halifax had a really loud crowd. The building went deafening when Pillman helped the hart foundation win.

I've gotta go with Cena vs RVD at ONS 06. That crowd was insane. They acted like they wanted to kill Cena for real.

Austin when he came to save the WWF from the Alliance.
More recently, Taker at Summerslam, and the MASSIVE Daniel Bryan chants at the same PPV.

What about Malenko revealing that he is Ciclope? That right there is just a purely awesome moment.

International Incident or whatever that Hart Foundation vs Austin/Goldust/LOD/someone else.
That was one of the most intense crowds ever.
