Idea to make Goldust relevant and interesting...

First week, Goldust randomly gets attacked by a guy who looks like him, except red. Everyone looks confused because they look practically alike (different guys obviously but still)

He calls himself Reddust. Goldust gets beaten really badly and wobbles out next week to demand an explanation. Suddenly he is ambushed from behind by a guy wearing blue. He destroys Goldust and says he is "Bluedust". RedDust then comes out and they both put they feet on Goldusts chest and laugh.

Every week more and more wrestlers debut until we have a "dust" for most colors. AKA, Graydust, RedDust, Bluedust, Greendust and Blackdust.

At the end, Goldust reveals that it was his plan all along and that his new army of "dust" will take over WWE. Goldust is shown to be an evil mastermind who took guys off indy shows and brainwashed them to become his clones.
They then feud with the Nexus for who is the dominant anti WWE force.

The only way for Golddust to ever be truly "relevant" again is simple. Cody Rhodes. The two feud over Cody's heelish ways, throw dusty in the mix and end the feud with them joining forces as a face tag team known as dashingly Bizarre. They win the tag belts etc.

Goldust is relevant & interesting. He's been awesome at every turn since he's been back in WWE. The main problem is that his original, quasi-homosexual character has no place in PG land. So he's basically just a guy in facepaint to lots of people. Which sucks, because think how awesome full on Goldust/Regal, Goldust/Punk, or Goldust/Cody would be.

Bluedust/Goldust was weird because of the way Goldust was all freaked out by his mind games during the feud then weeks later they were a "couple"

The funny thing about that was that gimmick was Dustin Rhodes and Dustys idea and Russo killed it.

So the worked shoot was pretty much the exact opposite of what really happened.

I see it like this. Undertaker has his last match at Mania, wins, and explodes, dispersing his powers. Some random wrestler gets infected with his powers, and corrupted, and becomes Blackdust. Blackdust should be a heel, and have the ability to convert random wrestlers into his big gothic stable.

Goldust, Greendust, Orangedust, Redust, Bluedust and Purpledust then feud against him for the rest of the year.
