After this long, if it is Abraham Washington, the fans will think it is a letdown. I remember talk that he was going to be the new GM before they went with the mystery GM, so I believe that WWE has considered it. Agreed

I JUST noticed that Abraham Washington's name is a combination of Abraham Lincoln and George Washington.
Damn, I'm slow.

I wouldn't mind if he was the Coachman to whoever the GM is, but the man himself? Man, that'd be a shabby payoff.

I'm hoping it'll be Austin. Austin wouldn't hide behind a computer. Although the way Hogan has been on facebook and twitter as of late, and his contract is up in October...........

If it's Abraham Washington, it'll be the biggest let-down since the Gobbledy Gooker. I'm still hoping for J.R.

I never once thought about J.R. possibly being the GM. That wouldn't be bad, but I didn't think he was ever coming back to TV.

Abe is/was some kind of authority figure in FCW, and he wasn't too bad at it, so I wouldn't mind it.

I'd like to see him as GM, but he can't be the mystery one. Unfortunately "And I quote...." is far more over than good ol' Abe is. That said, the GM has done so many odd things it'd probably make more sense if it were a new character.
Surely it's HHH?

Good lord no.
If it was Abe Washington, it would not only be hugely disappointing but just pointless.
The guy's comedy was horrible (his humour seemed to be 'black topical joke' hahahaha 'black topical joke' hahahaha 'fudge his lines' hahahaha) and his commentary down at FCW is some of the worst I've ever had to hear.
Wasn't a fan of the talk show, wouldn't be a fan of him as GM.
My money is still on it being Vince eventually disregardless of the phone call we'll be meant to be forget.

NXT ought to go to WGN. They already air Superstars three times. Replace one of those airings with NXT.

I'd love if it was Abe, honestly. I would certainly prefer Abraham Washington over Michael Cole, that is for sure. Granted, at this point, as mentioned by others, the Mystery G.M.™ has been built-up so much that if it is anyone other than a Shawn Michaels or Stone Cold type big name, it is going to be a let down to the audience. Now, maybe they could have it be a big name, then have him "step down" and leave the position to Abraham, or something like that. Then at least it would give some sort of payoff and although it is sort of a swervy solution, it would be better than "well, it's been six months, here's Abe! Remember him? ECW on SyFy. No? OK." If it is Abe though, WWE really need to re-hire Tony Atlas. His laugh was gold!

I know a lot of people would think its hhh and I can see why. But, it doesn't seem to fit his character. Like Vince and Stone cold, hhh wouldn't hide behind a curtain and give orders or make someone's life miserable. He would laughingly do it to thier face. The only reason I see it fit would be he would want Shemus to believe he was gone for good and then pop up when shemus least suspect it.
I think, kayfabe wise, we need to ask our selves: 1. Who has grudges and histories with these men? 2. Who has reason to be scared of most of these men?
Based on past fueds: 1. Hornswoggle= he was part of dx and has had run ins with jericho. 2. Vickie = past relationship with edge 3. stephanie= nah. but welll she has had history with Jericho and is married to HHH.... nah........ 4. Michael Cole= well he is the one reading the messages, so why not?
Does anyone else fit in this criteria? Any other theories?
5. 4.

They've been looking for a way to get Washington back on TV for quite some time now. We'll see. Man, NEWZ all the way. Acting like WWE's hands are tied creatively for bringing another personality on TV. Come on. And I would not approve unless it allowed him to get in the ring.
