Ironically, I started a thread about the person being GM may not matter. But I read a story about either Cole or Abraham Washington being the GM. Here is the story:
As of last word, the plan was for WWE NXT to become an internet-only based show on WWE.com. If that doesn't happen, the show will obviously be scrapped altogether.
There are several names under consideration for the RAW General Manager role. Both Michael Cole and Abraham Washington have both been discussed. They've been looking for a way to get Washington back on TV for quite some time now. We'll see.
It might be NEWZ, but Wrestling, Inc. seems to be legit.

YES!!! Anything to get Abraham Washington back on TV although I'd prefer his talk show to come back instead of the wrestlers having their crappy talk shows like The Peep Show. What is the point of giving every wrestler a talk show? ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) It's stupid. They should just have one cool talk show and Abe's show is it.

If it's Washington, people will s*** all over it. Oh come on, imagine the big reveal.. the lights come on, Abe's music comes on and he's running and dancing around the ring with his mic going 'OHHH AHHH!! WOOO!!' Brilliant.

I can also imagine either the boos or the tumbleweeds floating by as people have no idea who the hell he is.

After this long, if it is Abraham Washington, the fans will think it is a letdown. I remember talk that he was going to be the new GM before they went with the mystery GM, so I believe that WWE has considered it.

Unless it's The Rock or Randy Savage or something it will be a 'letdown' no matter who it is.

Yeah I like Ab Washington but no way should he be GM especially after all this build up. The GM has to be somebody instantly recognizable.

The show should be scrapped altogether. If they get NXT on another television station, then they need to get this show together. These challenges and stuff, people aren't tuning into watch American Gladiators.
As for Abraham Washington, he's been doing well on commentary, and maybe they could use him there. I haven't heard anything more about his training. I saw one match with him, and it was awful, lol, so unless he got any better, maybe bringing him in as a manager would be good.

Yeah I like Ab Washington but no way should he be GM especially after all this build up. The GM has to be somebody instantly recognizable. Instantly Recognizable People it will not be. Austin, Rock, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Jake the Snake, Randy Savage, Hulk Hogan, HBK, Ric Flair Instantly Recognizable People It Might Be Anyone on the roster, but most likely someone that's a McMahon or married to a McMahon that is still with the company and not trying to buy political success with an expensive campaign. So That leaves Vince, Steph and Hunter. It will be Hunter. The slight jabs and the trying to keep Jericho out of the main event... the trying to be funny by referencing other people's catch phrases. It could also be Jim Ross, but I doubt it.

Why not Austin he still has good relations with the WWE Why not Rock he has said in interviews that he wants to do something big for the fans again that will entertain us LIKE NEVER BEFORE Nash is in TNA, but he may be on his way out and honestly Nash would make a great heel authority figure Hall and Snake are lucky to be alive Why not Savage he's working with the WWE again on a Legends level and WWE already brought in someone who we though we'd never see on good terms with the WWE again. Hogan and Flai is are in TNA HBK seems to be done with wrestling but I could actually see it
But I agree that it's probably Hunter.

I'd be okay with Abe if and only if they brought back Tony Atlas to be his Ed McMahon.
In fact, make Tony Atlas the mystery GM, and have him openly hate on guys that wear wrist tape. Then Orton comes out and says he figured out who the GM was long ago, and that's why he stopped taping his wrists...and that's why he's the champion.
