Good riddance to bad medicine, quite literally.
How many wrestler deaths have been related to Somas in the last decade? Far too many.

No kidding. This is long overdue. "Coming out of issues over the weekend" was interesting... I would say that's hard ly a coincidence. I think Hardy's issue is his weight and attitude. Company policy, I believe, is to reveal drug violations and the WWE hasn't revelaed the reason for Hardy being sent home.

Right, but it wouldn't have been a drug policy violation at the time since somas weren't banned before.

How the hell did WWE have loop holes for Somas? It just makes you wonder what else isn't on the list...

Chris Jericho's book made the stuff sound hilarious. But I realize, those anecdotes aside, it is a big deal.

Good for WWE. Somas are NOT good. If a wrestler is prescribed Somas, they could easily explain the situation to the doctor and ask for one of the other millions of muscle relaxers out there if it's really needed.
I took Soma's for recreational purposes once and I would never do it again. It caused me to slur my words worse than any alcohol I've ever drank, and I totally felt out of control. Nothing bad happened, but it taught me a lesson. I can only imagine how bad the potential for abuse is if there's a prescription involved.

Is this what Cade took and past out from on an airplane making people on the plane think he had a ceaser? People thought Cade had salad due to this drug? Better ban it then...

Somas are a perfectly fine drug as long as it's not being abused and it used for its intended purpose and is genuinely needed.
This is coming from someone with 2 back surgeries before the age of 20.
I've taken most of the major painkillers and muscle relaxers. If you genuinely need them...they are the greatest thing in the world. They allow you to function.
As for the OT....I don't agree with the total banning of the drug. I believe some of them honestly need it. I also believe that there are as many if not more who don't need it but have it anyway.
There are other drugs that can be taken that give the same effects, so this isn't going to solve anything. Somas are just cheap and common.
