From Wikipedia:
The Condemned is a thriller film directed and written by Scott Wiper, and starring professional wrestler "Stone Cold" Steve Austin along with Vinnie Jones. The movie is being produced by WWE Films and released by Lions Gate Films.
The story revolves around a cop (played by Austin) on death row in a Central American prison where he is "purchased" by a TV producer who is putting together a show where 10 contestants battle to the death." Hunted down by ruthless killers, his only shot at survival, and victory, is to hunt down and kill the one man responsible for putting him behind bars.
The budget for the movie project is $20 million. It is scheduled for to begin filming this spring in Australia. The movie is assumed to be released in 2007.

The World's Worst Entertainment. I would say Vince should stick to promoting wrestling, but seeing the recent transactions.... no.

Oh man, with a plot like that they have to use the "Deadly Game" theme of Wreckless Intent as the movie's theme.

I thoght it was a ripoff of the Fugetive An innocent man falsely convicted for his wife's murder and sentenced to death, who escapes custody in a train wreck and begins a cross-country search for the one-armed man he believes to be the real killerYeah, I could see how you made that mistake. Even though I didn't read anything about an innocent man, a train wreck, escaping custody or a one armed man

Basically, the movie is a rip off of the Running Man with a little Most Dangerous Game tossed in. Austin was supposed to be the Marine then he beat the shit out of Debra. He is making public appearances and filming in Australia because it is cheaper to make crap fils there than in America. If Austin wanted to be a real actor he could have had a Nash Bridges spin off series in 1999.

If you haven't seen The Running Man, it features convicts on a game show battling to the death.
