^This I've spent the last, what?, half an hour? waiting for something to happen, some twist, even if it was one we thought of. What happened to all this bigger picture talk? Start the main event early, oh that means something's going to happen doesn't it?! Finish the main event with 20 minutes to go, that means something's going to happen doesn't it?! But no, we get loads of emo nonsense over Cena that we know will last all of five minutes... What the hell?! maybe you should stop waiting for a twist, M. Night Yeah, I am giving too much credit to the writers amn't I? It's been such a good angle that they had me fooled into thinking it might have a good outcome ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png)

I'm not one of the types that things the ending ruins an entire show. Really good show all around. Probably the best WWE PPV of the year. You've got a friend in me ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) And Zoidberg Scott Pilgrim! ;D

Whats ironic is that over the past few weekends Nascar's carl edwards went into the crowd after the race and he said it was Cena's idea ![](http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa127/BadBooking/edwards.png) Man circled is indeed Carl Edwards, and holding Cena's then-won WHC belt. Wrestlemania 25.

Indeed. Cena will come back after doing whatever he's doing, and he'll get his "revenge". That's sort of how these things have worked since, ever. What is he doing, though? your MOM! OHHHHHHHH!!!!!! *high fives his homies in the background* What now, SON? In all seriousness, I have no idea. Having him be "fired" is a lot more interesting to me than him just getting out and feuding with Nexus again. I'll be interested to see where it goes

With all the theories about heel turns and cash-ins, R-Truth and The Miz run-ins, I'm kind of surprised they went for such a simple finish. But it does work for Cena's character.

Really, seriously, the ending to that match would have been GREAT, really, if the match itself had been longer. It was a pretty average match, Orton and Barrett didn't do anything out of the ordinary... felt like a main event in Monday Night... and that ending suffered due to it, I think. There was a slight shock when Cena delayed the 3-count, and if the match had been better, then I would not have any complaints.
It is, however, still a great PPV.

Indeed. Cena will come back after doing whatever he's doing, and he'll get his "revenge". That's sort of how these things have worked since, ever. Revenge for what? Beating up Nexus members every week? Costing Barret the title? Not really being fired and probably gone for like a week at most if not magically rehired tomorrow?

I was not one of the people expecting a John Cena heel turn but I expected something a little bit better to end the PPV than that which was so anti climatic. Don’t get me wrong as I enjoyed the PPV, just a real letdown of an ending. Exactly. No way was he turning, but that ending was just such a letdown from all the places they could gave gone. It doesnt really do anyone in the angle any good - Cena is gone for a bit now? - Barrett loses all his momentum and Orton looks like he cant do the job without Cena doing some shoving after being a footnote in the fued anyway. Just really unsatisfying

Oh, come on.
No videos of Cena walking out with the sad music from the Incredible Hulk?

The hero of the story resisting temptation and doing the right thing in spite of it being contrary to his own well being is a classic plot device, and that is exactly what this was, and more or less exactly where I thought this story was going to go from the outset.

What do Nascar and WWE both have in common?
Same storylines and outcomes to every race with the same drivers on top year after year. Oh and they both promote the same songs at the same time

Cena said Wade was guaranteed to get a beat down after the match from him. That didn't happen either.

Incidentally if Barrett does need to regain some momentum, KOTR is coming up soon...

He's a good enough heel to get back on track.

Cena said Wade was guaranteed to get a beat down after the match from him. That didn't happen either. The other guys in The Nexus came down to save him from that anyway. Barrett is due for a win now. He's been screwed over by Cena twice now, and now he's out of the picture, a title win shouldn't be too far away.

He's a good enough heel to get back on track. Wade could easily say that while he didn't win the title, he managed to get rid of John Cena.

Wade is going to demand he is rehired so he can have a match aganist him at TLC because he's so mad that Cena didn't listen to him
