I thought that EY was really destined for a push at least to the upper mid card but after the Band screwed him over he was kind of left hanging. Now they have him as goofy EY and teaming with Orlando Jordan on Xplosion.
Now a move back to the tag division is a good idea (TNA's tag division could use one more team now that 3-D is gone and Beer Money has Fourtune occupying their time) but he needs a better partner then OJ (Who is just horrible on so many levels) and needs to drop the goofy EY gimmick.
I think pairing him up with Rob Terry as a more serious EY is a good idea. EY can handle the work load and Terry comes in for the hot tag. I think it could work Terry and EY both need something to do and the tag division has a few teams like Ink Ink and Gen Me that can get them over.

Just go ahead and fire him. Young will do better outside of TNA. He went from tard to SRS to face to lackey to tard in one year. Obviously TNA has no ideal what to do with him.

Personally I like EY better as a goofy moron. As a SRS heel he was bland and boring.

Wait...you say he shouldn't team with Orlando because he sucks, then suggests he teams with Rob Terry instead? That's like saying Beth Phoenix should stop teaming with Kelly Kelly because she sucks, but have Beth go to TNA and team up with Lacey Von Erich instead.

Eric Young and Abyss as a tag team.
On their own, nothing special, but I could see EY as a mastermind and Abyss as his monster muscle.

I like Eric Young, but TNA has killed him. He was a heel, he was the Global Champion, he dropped the fall to the Nasty Boys, he turned babyface, then he turns heel joining up with the heels who turned on him, and now he's a babyface again. He's dead. Get rid of him for maybe 6 months to a year, if he signs with WWE, fine. But, TNA killed him, and he should be let go so he can comeback at a different time.

He has had too many gimmick changes in too little time.
If this was TEW, his gimmick rating would be F+.

He's TNA's DDP if TNA will ever realize it.

I'd take Terry over Jordan any day of the week. Besides in this scenario he'd just have to be the caged beast until the hot tag and then do the destroy everyone in his way thing... which he is decent enough at.

He's TNA's DDP if TNA will ever realize it. I'd say he's more like a TNA's Matt Hardy. A guy that will always be somewhat popular and a decent worker. Just not good enough or popular enough to get to the next level.

I wasn't saying that Orlando sucks in the ring (Which he does) is the reason he shouldn't be teaming with Young. He is just bland and no one really cares. OJ is a sterotype and no one cares teaming him with Young is really a odd match and no one cares. IF you paired him with Terry it is a more natural less random fit (Two foreigners Canada and Britain kind of similar). Terry's crap ring work gets hidden by Young who can carry the load YET Terry actually looks imposing enough to play the big man who gets the hot tag. Also Terry is much more over then Jordan and adds a big man to the mix. Young is a talent and while he may never be a main event guy he has a lot value in the tag division.

I thought him as leader of the World Elite was working. Bashir and Senshi and the British Invasion could have been a good stable but at this point I think he is ruined.

I liked him in World Elite, but it often seems like TNA is less loyal to him than he is to them.

Yeah, I was actually buying him as a threat when he was leading the World Elite...then Hogan comes along and it's bye bye push for Eric Young.
