Or if it can be anyone living or dead, Joe Meek.

Paul Williams or since someone called him already, They Might Be Giants.
Though, I'm tempted to go with Jonathan Coulton.

Koji Kondo & Mahito Yokota. (Performed by the Mario Galaxy Orchestra, of course.)
If not them, then Terry Riley.

John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Nobuo Uematsu(Final Fantasy soundtracks), or Yasunori Mitsuda(Chrono Trigger/Cross soundtracks). It would be nice to have all four do a collaboration.

Bernard Hoffer. He did the score on a bunch of Rankin Bass projects including Thundercats.
But he is an old man now. (74) So if he wasn't available I'd like to bring in Joe Perry from Aerosmith for music and Billy Corgan for lyrics.

John Williams, Ennio Morricone, Apocalyptica (pretty sure they would do something awesome), Shiro Sagisu (Evangelion/Bleach), Taku Iwasaki (Gurren Lagann/Soul Eater) or Junichi Nakatsuru (Soul Calibur series/ Tekken 5).

Ennio Morricone without a doubt.
Possibly Randy Newman as a back up.

Hans Zimmer. His work is amazing. He's able to capture the essence of characters unlike anybody I've ever seen.
