I haven't been paying a lot of attention since I haven't had the money to go the the theater. I know what will be nominated for Razzies though. Anything with Ben Affleck, Madonna, or the other handful of actors whom the people that made up that award have irrational hatred for. Those awards have become parodies of themselves. Instead of focusing on what were the worst main stream movies of a given year, they use the award to extract revenge on a small number of actors for no real reason. Ben is kind of hit or miss with me but many of the things he has been nominated for weren't nearly as bad as other things from that same year. They have also passed on nominating some bad movies, instead deciding their grudges were more important. I agree with these statements x 1000, and it's a point that I've made several times before whenever a thread about a year's Razzies come up. I'd also add Linsay Lohan to your list of celebrities that they hate...and ALSO add that the awards show has become the equivalent of the Friedberg/Seltzer movies, in that they do little more than kick the current tabloid disaster celebrities when they're down.

Killers is at 6% on Rotten Tomatoes, even lower than Marmaduke.
Yikes.

Screw last week, this is the worst week of summer. Killers? MARMADUKE? Sex 2 still playing in wide release? Pathetic.

Killers is at 6% on Rotten Tomatoes, even lower than Marmaduke. Yikes. What's even worse is that it's in a neck and neck race with Get Him To The Greek for 2nd place this weekend. *sigh*

Inception, of course! {Spoiler}I'm being sarcastic. The correct answer is "Vampires Suck". Forbiden Fruit is a better Twilight parody.

Hex, Last Airbender, and Vampires Suck might be very hard to beat for worse movies. Since Jonah Hex was something like 77 minutes after credits, and it's already been said that the studio cut it to death, that there might be some redemption for it.

I too think it'll be "Vampires Suck". I'm not a Twilight fan so the idea of a movie poking fun at them entertains me, but the "_____ Movie" crew's track record is less than impressive to be nice.

Last Airbender really, really should have never been made. The show was plenty cinematic and it's just unnecessary.
That being said, while I don't like to count my chickens before the hatch, Vampires Suck doesn't have much going for it. It's already a tired concept to parody Twilight, and doing so through a ___ Movie style structure is going to do nothing to help that.

Is it 2011 yet?
I want the summer with Green Lantern, Thor, Captain America, Super 8 etc.

The Last Airbender wasn't THAT bad. It just felt like it because the source material was so great. Once you get past the bad writing/acting, it is a perfectly mediocre children's action movie. It should have been a classic though, which makes it hurt more when something so merely adequate comes out. It is a case of wasted potential, that in a better director's hands, wouldn't have happened.
Best moment though was when one of the kids in the audience was pissed when his name was pronounced "Ong"
Kid: IT'S AANG!

Last Airbender really, really should have never been made. The show was plenty cinematic and it's just unnecessary. I think that can sum up my feelings about most summer blockbusters nowadays: It's just unnecessary. I think Vampries Suck will take home most razzies, but some Avatar and Johan Hex thrown in their too. It's a shame about Johan Hex, because most it's problems seem to stem from studio interference making it such a mess.
