I've been using Net-10 for about 3 years and have had no complaints. Their basic service is 300 minutes and 60 days for $30. Text messages cost half a minute, which breaks down a nickel a message and unused minutes roll over. If you talk on the phone a lot, it might not be the best option, but if you usually just have short conversations then it is a great deal.

Right now in the US you cannot beat Virgin Mobile. Why is that? I am looking for a new provider, so sell me on Virgin Mobile...

I've been using Net-10 also, it works pretty well for my purposes. Granted, I don't use a cell phone much at all, but the service seems reliable and it's pretty cheap.

Virgin Mobile ended up costing me to much. The first ten minutes of every day were $0.25 each, then $0.10 after.
We have T-Mobile right now which isn't bad, and we have the Fave 5 so that helps.
