We've had it for 7 days straight and I love it. I've measured it at over a foot a few times. The difference in the reaction it generates between the North and the South is incredible, most up here just get the shovels out and get on with it.
My 1.2 Fiesta manages to get everywhere in it!

You know, I really do see why my mum hated snow days when I was at school. I have a 6 year old sister who's driving me mad.
And yesterday, I found out the snow MUST be bad, as the Jobcentre didn't make me go in to sign on. Of course they didn't tell me this until I got there.

Geeze...I wish when I was a little kid that we would have had snow days because of six inces of snow. It almost always had to be a full on blizzard for the schools in my area to close.

It took me an hour and a half to do a usually 35 minute journey yesterday because of train cancellations. I'm glad I did it because I needed to get to college, but I was supposed to be in today too. Just... no. Hopefully things will be a bit better by Monday... I doubt it though. It's snowing again

Now it's raining.
That'll kill the snow, but it'll make everything icy.
That's gonna cause accidents, plus, after SNOW DAY! on Thursday HMV are making me go in tomorrow on my day off to make up the hours I didnt do.
No Saturday sleep in. Damn Snow.

I can understand the argument about councils not spending money on snow contingencies as they may not be needed. However there should be no excuse for rail/air companies not being able to keep things running with the amount they charge and the profits they make. We are possibly the one country in the world that would sit through an atom bomb and still complain about the football. But throw a snowball at us and we'll surrender in a heart beat. I do like the standard cartoon of the Nazi's/terrorists finding a new weapon to bring England to it's knees, they could drop snow. Mainly as it's true, London's buses stopped last year due to snow when they carried on during the blitz.

The snow has only just come to Bristol, we had a bit at the end of November but that was pathetic. Walking to school today was 'fun', nearly fell over many times. Since Saturday morning we've had about 4cm of snow and it's snowed pretty much non stop today. This has got to be one of my favourite stories to come from the snow though. news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_union/my_club/edinburgh/9295226.stm
