Why the beef with Rodgers? The guy stepped into a nearly impossible situation and has handled it extremely well. Not to mention he just turned 27, and is awesome. 27 and starting to rack up concussions has had limited effect thus far on said awesomeness

So what is Minnesota going to do for a quarterback next year? Kevin Kolb can do a job for a team built around him. Honestly, if the Eagles can ink Vick for a new multiyear contract then I could see this happening. And as an Eagle fan, I really wouldn't have a problem with it, providing we get around a 2nd round pick.

Even the Line Judges are getting hurt.
How many penalties have there been this game? I lost track.

Not Drew Brees. Not Peyton Manning. Not Bill Belichick. Favre is in a class of his own, and Aaron Rodgers sure as hell isn't going to join him. No one gives Rodgers the attention that Favre gets. And he really is only talked about as the starter of the Packers. As for being "forced out," they wanted whether he was going to play before they had to plan for the future. He waffled, then said he was retiring, so they planned for the future. That's not being forced out. Favre isn't to blame for every single failure of the franchises he's been involved in. That much is correct. To absolve him of any is ridiculous though.

Favre gets a lot of attention around the off season and even more recently about whether he would start or not, which is actually a big news story. Brady gets talked about all the time and its even outside of sports. There is talk about him and his supermodel wife, what he does during the off season, and even his f***ing hair. Favre may be a drama queen, but nobody gets more TV time than Mr. Celebrity Tom Brady. Well not unless you count how many Peyton Manning commericals there are.

Tarvaris Jackson exited Monday night's game in the third quarter with a right toe injury and appears unlikely to return.

Tom Brady may have more articles on Yahoo, but I still believe that Favre gets more press space and camera time than Brady. I think if you picked out any week of NFL coverage in the past few years, Favre gets more than Brady the majority of the time.

Favre's insane amount of camera time really didn't start until the retirement hooplah.
I can tell you this: once he finally does retire, he's going to do everything he can to win GB's fans back and drop Minnesota like a bad habit. Pretty sure he'll be successful, too.

But I thought the evil Brett Favre was holding this team hostage? I thought he was holding back this exceptional young player who was going to lead the Vikings to that elusive Super Bowl. Come off it guy, nobody ever said that. I stand by it, Jackson is no worse than Favre. They'd still have 5 wins No one said he would take them to the Super Bowl, but everyone said they would be better off with Jackson. There is no way they get to the NFC title game last year with Tavaris and there was some reason Vikings players begged Favre to come back this year. He wasnt coming back until their recruting trip. This season has been a disaster. I dont ignore the stupid mistakes Favre makes. He has thrown a lot of picks and the whole Sterger thing is sad. I'm not oblivious to all that but just because ESPN obsesses over Favre doesnt make him a primadonna. He didnt have "The Decision" on prime time tv. He is an ignorant, old redneck from Mississippi and does have a huge ego. He thought the Packers wouldnt force him out but they did and he wanted revenge. He couldnt go to the Vikes the 1st year so he went to NY and waited until he could get a shot at GB. He got that last year and almost got to the Super Bowl. Its not like this guy stuck a knife in GB like Lebron. Maybe he should have walked away after the NFC title game against the Giants, but maybe Emmitt Smith should have retired with Dallas. Maybe Barry Bonds should have quit before he got blackballed out Major League baseball. Maybe Michael Jordan shouldnt have played for the Wizards. If anyone gets the chance to play professional sports I wont be one to tell them when to quit. He has legitimately been the toughest player in the NFL for the past 18 years. That is the significance of the streak. His peers and the media respect him for that and I am not the only person who truly enjoyed watching him play. No matter how many TD passes or backbreaking interceptions he threw you always knew it would be an interesting game when Brett Favre was on the field. I am biased beacuse I have been a fan since I was a little boy but I know he is far from perfect. It is just unfair that everyone tries to paint him as the most vile person in all of sports because he didnt retire. If its about the pictures how many celebrities and athletes have nude pictures leaked these days? He did retire and un-retire a couple times but so have plenty of athletes and wrestlers. Maybe Ric Flair and Taker should walk away but like Favre they will have to be dragged out of their professions. I refuse to let these last few years define how I remember Brett Favre or Ric Flair because both have brought me tremendous joy and excitement as a fan. Even in the darkest games of this year it has always been fun to watch Favre becuase you never knew what was in store when the ball got snapped and I feel sorry for anyone who cant appreciate that.

That usually happens with great players who leave their teams after long careers. Irving Friar spend like 14 season all in Philly and the Eagles even bought him a custom made motorcycle when he retired. The very next season he was playing for the Redskins. Eventually, the Eagles' fan forgave him and if Philly fans can forgive someone, then anyone can.

That's true, but as of right now, even if Favre started tonight, I'd take Favre's camera time over anyone else in the NFL. No one in the past few years has had what he's had, and no one gets more accolades than him, certainly not Rodgers.
When Favre finally calls it quits, then it will be Brady, but for the past few years, I still believe it's been Favre hands down.

I can see the same thing happening with McNabb, especially since they gave him a pretty warm welcome in a Redskins uniform... until the game started. And unless the Vikings score 18 points in a minute, the Giants have this one won.

I'm glad they gave him a standing O when he was announced and then booed him because, hey he's an opponent now. Simple as that. Favre'll be called back for a 50 year team or something like that and he'll be cheered massively. Same thing when he enters the Hall of Fame. It wasn't like Lebron, who left in the prime of his career either. Honestly, I think a lot of the Favre hate has just come from how the media waits on his every move during the offseason. I don't understand why that bothers them considering that there's nothing else to really talk about but whatever.
