From what I've seen, it looks pretty interesting and very detailed for a free MMO. I was thinking of trying it out, but I don't want to waste my time if it's just your typical free MMO (I've played a lot of those).
As anyone played it yet? And if so, is it worth the time?

Is it "Free" like D&D online or Free! like Lord of the Rings Online? Actually I JUST finished finding this out; it's only free once you reach level 4, then you have to pay to continue. Apparently Sony doesn't understand the meaning of "Free 2 Play". F*** that.

Speaking of free to play. Does anyone here play Guild Wars now a days? I played it for like two years straight, is it still any good? Might get Eye of the North.
EDIT: Just got back from their site, wow they're trying to milk money off anything these days...

I know someone who plays Guild Wars regularly. I used to, before I got to the point where I needed to partner with others to go on and my computer couldn't really handle it.

Funny that you mention Guild Wars since I just finished reading about the Necromancer class on their wikia. I was thinking about getting it long ago, but my computer was shit at the time.
There's a Guild Wars 2 coming out, but no news on a release date yet.

I can't comment on the community now. But it was a great game to play. Assholes were rare and there were always enough decent players around to get a good party going. I just got burnt out after two years of almost daily playing. You can pick up Guild Wars, Factions, And Nightfall new for 40 bucks, and no monthly subscription. I would have paid 60 for just Guild Wars and would have been happy. It has tons of content and you just can't beat not having to pay-to-play for a game you already own. I personally didn't like Factions or Nightfall all that much, but that's me, I didn't even play them to the end. Their expansions are also very long, and worth the price. Mileage may vary though. Still I got plenty of hours out of them.
Anyway, if 40 bucks for 3 games sounds like a deal to you it'd definitely be worth a try. If you like playing with people though you'll have to spend some time finding a good ACTIVE guild to join. Of course most active guilds aren't going to want someone who only plays once or twice every other week. Like all MMOs if you want to truly enjoy it you'll need to invest some time. That's why I quit, I like playing with people but all my friends and favorite guild-mates were gone by then.
What was my point... oh yeah. If it's even half as good as when I played it should be worth a try. And if you need anyone to play with... well I have a rig now that might actually be able to play it without me bashing my head in. ;D
Oh side note, if you try it, be prepared for shit tons of updates and new content downloads the first time you play. I'd go for hard copy. It's cheaper and going to save you a lot of download time.
