I don't know much about Tommy Seigler, but somewhere around 20 years ago, my aunt gave me a bunch of old wrestling pictures, a mix of promo 8x10s and pictures she had taken herself. One of the 8x10s is of Tommy Seigler, but I can't remember if it's one of the signed ones or not. The lakeside BBQ should be fun. Though I'm wondering if that means no Q&A. I think he would have mentioned if he was getting rid of the Q/A. I would not be surprised if he has the BBQ during the registration on thurs afternoon or maybe in between the Q/A's like the Race/Flair photo op last year.

sounds like money for vendor guests can add up :/ It definitely can. I usually try not to think too much about it, to be honest. This year is especially expensive for me solely because of Heenan. But the guy's my hero, and this may or may not be my last Fanfest for a while. So I plan to have a damn good time this year, and if I make it back next year, no harm. I'm looking forward to seeing who K&S is bringing in. I wish they'd announce it today instead of waiting until Sunday. But I'm bored and restless tonight, and none of my friends are doing anything but sitting around watching TV apparently.

I'm really looking forward to meeting Mae Young. From things I've heard, she sounds like a hell of a character. The same vendor is going to announce some more guests on Tuesday.
Looking at the official vendor guest list, it looks like Karen Angle has vanished for what feels like the 3rd or 4th time. Raven, Tommy Rich, and Mike Jackson are also no longer listed, as the vendor who was bringing them in has vanished from the list. Once things are finalized for sure, I'll edit the list in the OP again.

Updated the OP with what looks to be the final list of guests, both featured and vendor. Also added some recent developments in the weekend's activities. Next week. I cannot wait.

so who was the big-time first-timer?

Well, the "big time" thing was mostly built up by fans. All the promoter had said was, "making his first appearance" and everyone overreacted, thinking it would be some huge name like Savage, which was never said.
It was Sonny King.

I won't be going to this year's Fanfest, but I hope that everyone that indeed does go down enjoys themselves. I'll be going to next year's event in Atlanta, so that should be a fun one, considering all the talent that could be coming in.
I have a few questions though, it'd be great if someone could give me answers to them, I'd appreciate it.
1) When it comes to the signings, what are the lines like? Are they long or, do they go by rather smooth?
2) When you get up to the table - Are you allowed to say what you want to the legends, or is it rushed like the WWE signings?
3) Do you have to purchase pictures at the table, or can you bring your own pictures/magazines/DVD covers, etc.?
4) I'm aware that the VIP ticket costs about $175 or so, I'm just curious as to what it covers? Like could anyone tell me.. I know, it means you get in, the Hall of Heroes, the matches, etc.
But I'm wondering if it means you get the autographs for free? For example: I won't have to go up to Ivan Koloff's table and buy a picture just for him to sign it, and then pay for a photo of me with him. [Hopefully, I make some sense?]
Thanks a lot, and hope to see some of you guys next year!

Well, in some sad news, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan will not be there. Fortunately, it's not a return of cancer. He recently fell at home and fractured his hip, but was going to come anyway. Then at rehab, he fell again, fracturing his pelvis and breaking his shoulder. He's having surgery on the shoulder on Aug. 4th. Get well soon, Mr. Heenan. T Mart Promotions, the vendor who was bringing him in, has scrambled for another guest on short notice and will be bringing in Chief Jay Strongbow. I won't be going to this year's Fanfest, but I hope that everyone that indeed does go down enjoys themselves. I'll be going to next year's event in Atlanta, so that should be a fun one, considering all the talent that could be coming in. [Hopefully, I make some sense?] Thanks a lot, and hope to see some of you guys next year! 1. They call people in groups, this year it's groups of 40. Last year there were chairs so everybody didn't have to stand the whole time. So by calling the fans in groups, if you have a later number (like me at #202 this year) you won't have to stand around forever. You can walk around the vendor area, grab something to eat, whatever. If you miss the section your number is in, no worries. If you have 60, and you come up and they're calling 80-120, you get to jump right in. Last year ran great. 2. They don't want people taking too much time, but I've spoke with many of the wrestlers on the stage. It's not really rushed, as they understand that the fans are going to want to interact with the guys, but they do want to keep everything moving smoothly so everyone gets through in a timely manner. 3. You can totally bring your own. 8x10s are always available if you need something, and the program usually works good for autos as well. But if, say, Terry Funk is there, and you already own his book and you want him to sign the WWE Encyclopedia, that's what you'll get signed. 4. The VIP actually doesn't include the Hall of Heroes, though a package is sold which includes it. The VIP pass gets you admitted a full hour before any general admission ticket holders. Photo ops with feature guests are a separate cost, but you get 2 items of your choice signed by each feature guest, and if you get photo ops, the feature guests will sign them for free in addition to your 2 items. The photo op prints are high quality 8x10s, btw. You get a Fanfest t-shirt, and the artwork changes every year and the talent is listed on the back. You are admitted to the 2 Q&A sessions on Thursday. Last year, there was also a roundtable discussion during the day on Saturday and that was included. This year, JR is having a BBQ. You get admission to both live wrestling cards. So this year, Ivan Koloff is a vendor guest, so there would be a fee for his autograph or a photo op, but you won't have to buy a picture or anything from him if you've already got something you want him to sign. I hope I covered everything.

Are there any guests that had to cancel due to getting booked for the TNA PPV?

Are there any guests that had to cancel due to getting booked for the TNA PPV? I haven't heard anything. Shane Douglas has apparently assured the vendor on more than one occasion that he will be in Charlotte, and there hasn't even been a hint of speculation about Terry Funk.

I work at a radio station in Charlotte. Today I went with one of our reporters to interview Greg Price about Legends Fest, what wrestling meant to Charlotte back in the Crockett days, etc. I will post a link to the audio tomorrow after it airs.

Change of schedule for Mickie - she couldn't make her flight from Nashville to Charlotte in time, so her signing has been rescheduled to 9am tomorrow morning.
