The very same Mashable awards that gave Stand Up for WWE "Best Creative Social Media Campaign" and John Cena the "Most Influential Social Good Champion" awards, respectively.

To be fair John Cena deserved his award. As for Doug Walker, good for him! I know he's made a comfortable living off of his site (I heard that he makes $10,000 a month, which doesn't surprise me what with the advertising and merchandise). It's something I hope to accomplish in the future.

Say what you will about the John Cena character, but the man himself does a lot of good outside the ring, which is why a heel turn for him wouldn't work, but this isn't the place to discuss that.

Last year, he and James were up for Internet show of the year (I believe), and he began telling his fans to vote for James.

Plus he posted something congratulatory to Spoony for winning the "funniest" last year. This is one of the reasons I like Doug. While his gimmick is kinda worn out for me, he has come across as a pretty genuinely good person who cares for the fans, but also feels his "popularity" is a gift. Granted, that's my interpretation. For all I know, he could be a complete douche magnet...

I thought Tom Peters won that.
Anyway, I wouldn't trust David Cross, if I were Doug, though.

He's impossibly, impossibly nice. We had him as a guest for our con last year, and he was just so into making the best of things, it was wonderful. He never said no to fans, and he was almost always out on the floor, chatting with people, asking congoers about their costumes.
Great guy. Good for him.

That's good for Doug. Strangely enough, his good nature seems to occasionally peek out from his NC act.

Good for him - he's making a decent living off what he enjoys - not many people can say the same.
