I'm sure a lot of other posters have at least been to New York City before. I'll say Manhattan, though I have to admit I haven't really explored the city that thoroughly yet.

Toss up between Manhattan and Brooklyn for me. I love both boroughs. Both have so much rich culture and things to do. Manhattan is of course, The City. Brooklyn I feel a real connection to as I was born there. It's also home of Coney Island, Williamsburg, DUMBO, Sheepshead Bay (and Roll N Roaster!), and a bunch of other awesome stuff. Hmm... think I'll give it to Manhattan with Brooklyn in a VERY close second. I'd rank them... 1. Manhattan 2. Brooklyn 3. The Bronx 4. Queens 5. A toxic wasteland 6. Staten Island (not to be confused with a toxic wasteland )

I've never been there before, but Brooklyn rocks.
Hometown of Mike Doughty and Matisyahu, and birthplace of voice actor/singer Eric Stuart; all 3 of them rock. So yeah...

Manhattan, but I chose Staten Island because that's my hometown.

Queens. Where everything is great... except the Mets. Then, Brooklyn and all the others in some kind of capacity.

Hey, where's my favorite borough? Upstate NY? (Or atleast that's what I like to call Upstate NY, NYC's 6th borough) Shouldn't that be Long Island... and then Upstate as the 7th? I mean half of our counties are already officially boroughs.... Nassau and Suffolk get the shaft I tells ya! anyway, I went with Manhattan, mainly as in my experience that's where most people think of when they think of New York City.

It's not a barren wasteland... just hte spaces between cities, towns, villages what have you are... and I can say this as someone who drives 5 hours about twice a year to see my buddy in Oswego... and someone who used to drive 10 hours to help my sister move to and from college in Fredonia...

Hey, where's my favorite borough? Upstate NY? (Or atleast that's what I like to call Upstate NY, NYC's 6th borough) Man, never say that in Upstate New York. They'd murder you. I would say Rockland and Westchester Counties are sort of the unofficial sixth borough (and maybe parts of Orange), but having been in the Catskills, Rochester, Poughkeepsie, and Syracuse they're pretty different places from Downstate.
