It's now being reported that the person of interest was only the cab driver who dropped off the suspect.

It's Congressman. In English, Man can refer to both a Male and a Human. Technically, it should be Mister Congressman and Madame Congressman.

I read on yahoo that the 9 year old girl that was killed in the shooting is the granddaughter of long-time major league manager Dallas Greene. This is a terrible tragedy. I hope all of the wounded have a full and speedy recovery. I hope the gunman has a full and speedy dose of justice. Dallas' father and my grandfather were brothers. I never met Dallas and his family but it's still sad. A nine year old killed for nothing.

Just hearing that everyone's favorite nut, Fred Phelps and the Westboro Baptist Church are planning on protesting Christina Greene's funeral, saying God sent the shooter to punish. I have no words... none that wouldn't get me banned anyway.

It's now being reported that the person of interest was only the cab driver who dropped off the suspect. I heard that as well. He followed the suspect into the store because he had to make change to pay the cabbie. This is sad and shocking and crazy... There was another report that the shooter had met with the congresswoman before and asked her a bunch of questions that didn't make any sense... and he got pissed that she didn't understand what he was talking about. They also reported that his MySpace page was rambling about bad grammar in government and mind control...

I'm not sure the mods will agree (and if this goes too far, by all means delete), but I personally think of the WBC as less a religious organization and more a professional trolling brigade made up of members of the Phelps' family. They're pretty harmless nowadays, though. Especially now that people are getting tired of the crap they pull and start counter-protesting. Which tends to scare them off.

Fred Phelps himself is a troll, according to his own followers, so yeah... they basically say he doesn't actually believe most of the crap he spews, and that he "just has anger issues". Take that however you wish...

They are kinda like trolls, I never thought of it like that, but they're like, a topic on a message board is about the death of somebody, and then some troll starts going on about how great it is just to get a rise out of people. They troll real life. I do remember there was also this group of bikers that follows them around, and they rev their engines in front of them to drown out what they're saying.

Try sleeping at night after seeing this pic. It's Loughner's new mug shot. Also, his public defender has experience representing the following all-star team: - Unabomber - Atlanta Olympics bomber - Susan Smith (drowned 2 kids by driving her car into a lake)

These guys (the WBC) are fools... plain and simple...

I know I would if I had to defend this guy.

He is a public defender? That is one rough career. She. So I'm not quoting the whole picture. It's important to point out that the defense attorney in a case like this is merely there to make sure her client's rights aren't violated as everyone must abide by the rule of law. However, I do expect a death sentence here certainly.

And my heart goes out to those effected by the tragedy, just a horrible and sickening situation.

What people might be missing here is that in the County Sheriff's rush to put blame on anyone EXCEPT the accused, he's actually making a case for the defendant's counsel, should he wish her to go that route.
