C- Gabby Hartnett 1B - Mark Grace 2B - Ryne Sandberg 3B - Ron Santo SS - Ernie Banks LF - Billy Williams CF - Hack Wilson RF - Andre Dawson* SP - Ferguson Jenkins SP - Mordecai Brown SP - Greg Maddux SP - Rick Sutcliffe SP - Carlos Zambrano** Closer - Lee Smith *I just couldn't put Sosa here. Just couldn't. **This was the toughest. I had five guys I was considering for this spot. good list, let me think of mine... C - Geovany Soto 1B - Mark Grace 2B - Ryne Sandberg 3B - Ron Santo SS - Ernie Banks LF - Billy Williams CF - Kenny Lofton * RF - Sammy Sosa** SP - Freguson Jenkins SP - Greg Maddux SP - Jon Lieber SP - Kerry Wood*** SP - Carlos Zambrano Closer - Carlos Marmol * - i thought really hard about it with all the people weve had out there, i had to put Lofton there, he was damn good for us in 03, and was probably the last real "lead off" hitter we had in chicago, and he brought a really good energy too. ** - i had to go with Sosa...roided up aside, Dawson is damn good, but even before Sosa turned into Scott Steiner he was really patient at the plate and put up good numbers. even Steiner Sosa was a beast at the plate. *** i was gonna put Prior there, but he really only gave us one good season where as Wood was out only plus point for quite a few years, wood from 98 - 04 was amazing so hes in my rotation, i also put Lieber there too because he was really good for us when he was a starter...but like you i had to think long and hard about what the rotation would be.

I'd put Brian McCann over Javy Lopez. Javy had a few great years but Brian has already been more consistent I think, plus he is nowhere near done yet.
