It's when the metal slimes run away. Who's with me? I've only played one one DQ game (Sentinels of the Starry Skies for the DS) and encountered only one metal slime. It died in 2 hits and gave me a TON of XP. My lower-leveled teammates leveled up twice. |

I agree.... farming metal slimes can be an exercise in frustration when you need to grind a bit. Also I'd add, the 2nd most annoying thing is having to grind levels so much.

BeDragon works very well against Metal Babbles in III. That's the nice thing about DQ. The numbering system is always the same.

I have only played one DQ game (VIII), though I bought my son the DS game and he has put quite a bit of time into it. I eventually got tired of the random encounter generator. If I have to grind out levels, I want the beastly encounters on a regular basis. I only got that when I took a licking and needed to get to a church.
