Why the hell are they so dang creepy? ?? I just got done playing Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. It is, of course, a fantastic game, with an intriguing new twist on the main story and great new gameplay mechanics. But, like in Assassin's Creed 2, there were glyph puzzles. And they were intriguing. They were fun to do. They revealed interesting ideas...and good God, they're still keeping me awake at night in terror at how disturbing they are. It's like, how do you pull that off? I mean, logically, there's nothing too strange about them: puzzles, some ambient music, and some big revelations about the secret history of the world. At the times when I'm actually doing them, I enjoy them because I want to learn more about the secret history that the Templars have created. But they're still really disturbing! Like, in AC2, there was the puzzle where you move the fire icon to the picture of Joan of Arc, and then all of a sudden you hear her screaming in terror. And in Brotherhood, there was the intro where Subject 16 talks about how he wants to go home, and then, out of the blue, "Home on the Range" by Bing Crosby starts playing! What do you think of the glyph puzzles? And should I feel grateful to Ubisoft for creating something that makes such an interesting reaction, or hate them for haunting my nightmares?
