Now, I'm not talking about obvious stuff like how Wile E. Coyote can be blown up multiple times and not die or talking animals, etc. But things that are not so obvious when you're a kid, but when you're an adult it's weird, almost like an plot hole. For example:
Why would He-Man want to defend Castle Greyskull at all? First of all, it looks like a villains lair. Heck, it has a villainous name. Does anyone even live there, as it seems like the king and queen live somewhere else. Does it hold any secrets I'm not aware of? Surely someone could give it a Extreme Makeover. Yet He-Man and his gang will die for it. I say let Skeletor have it.
Why would Archie Andrews and his gang be friends with Reggie at all? He's constantly scheming to screw them over. Yes, he does get his comeuppance frequently. But this would be like if Bart Simpson was friends with Nelson.
Why does everyone in the cartoon "Doug" have normal skin coloring except his best friend Skeeter (blue skin) and Roger the bully (green skin)? Does Skeeter suffer from constant hypothermia? Did Roger's mom have relations with a reptile?
Why would the Muppets have ANYTHING to do with the GIGANTIC Muppet Monsters? If they so much as tick them off, they become lunch? Surely the Muppet Monsters are not all vegetarians.

I like the idea of this thread and am going to use another example from Doug because I'm not thinking of other ones yet.
The time when Roger gives his pet cat to Doug in order to take care of it while he is away. I mean Roger is a bully to Doug and he expects Doug to do him a big favor?

How people fall over in Japanese cartoons when something shocking or incredulous occurs.

Did Roger's mom have relations with a reptile? Really? Because, IIRC, almost all teh town had green or purple skin.

I agree on Greyskull. Perhaps skulls get a bad rap, being associated with evil, but it also looks evil too. I guess the third strike would be it doing evil stuff.
Bart and Nelson actually have a less hostile relationship. He still beat him up once and a while but seems to hang out with Bart and his friends.

They've actually cast Nelson as a good friend of Bart in recent episodes.

In the Kick-Ass comic, how Katie believed all the rumors that Dave was gay, when at the beginning, it showed that Dave stalked her by waiting outside a tennis club that she played at. She initially seemed disgusted by Dave and then later on, she decides that he would be her gay best friend?

In Popeye, why did Popeye and Bluto feud over Olive Oyl? I could see if she had a decent personality, but she was a complete bitch who would play one off of the other, but then when Bluto got her she'd scream bloody murder and Popeye would eat Spinach and go kick his ass. And where are the cops when all this is going down? You'd think people would call the cops of them for Disturbing the Peace, Disorderly Conduct, and Destruction of Property.

Why don't cartoon characters ever seem to change clothes? how is family circus still in print? Maybe I was the only kid in the world... but I actually used to like reading Family Circus when I was little.

Here's what I never understood about the Marvel Universe. Heroes like the Fantastic 4 and the Avengers are generally beloved while the X-Men are mistrusted and sometimes outright hated just because they're mutants. So if you get superpowers by accidentally exposing yourself to deadly levels of radiation you're a-ok, but if you're born with your powers then SCREW YOU!!?

It looks really out of place when non mutants like the avengers interact with the x-men and vice versa.

It looks really out of place when non mutants like the avengers interact with the x-men and vice versa. The fan-w**k logic is that there's a panic over mutants because 'normal' people think they're being replaced. If a 'normal' person gets superpowers, it's through a random event. But mutants are born with them, and there's an irrational panic to anything that isn't 'natural' (despite evolution within the Marvel-verse being natural since it isn't activated by cosmic f***ing radiation.) There's also the fact that The Avengers/FF have public identities. Spider-Man and the X-Men shy away from being ambassadors, getting on with their jobs. So they rarely stop to defend themselves from accusations. And it gets worse than Cyclops decides to set up a 'wet works' team: the mutants are essentially admitting that they can't control other mutants peacefully, giving everyone more reason to hate them.

Marge was knocked up by Homer when they left high school. So Marge & Homer would of been in their early 20's. Bart is 10 years old. So why are Marge & Homer in their late 30's? Shouldn't they be in their early 30's?

But as for the public identities, for a long time the public didn't who Iron Man or Thor were, and as far as I remember, there was never a Marvel 60 Minutes special explaining how they got their powers. Plus plenty of mutants have been on The Avengers; beast, quicksilver, scarlet witch, and they have been immediately accepted. However, the second they leave the team, they are hated. Really it makes no sense that mutants, many of whom are actively trying to save the world, are hated more than various supervillains who try to destroy it.
