It is funny how things can come circulate, but I thought what if in the original Back To The Future that random red letter day that Doc programmed in the time machine before the terroist attacked and chased Marty into the time machine, what if he landed in 2011, wouldn't had faced the same problems?
The one particular thing I am thinking about is the dinner scene, when Marty orders a Tab, than a Pepsi Free. I don't think those drinks still excist, so if you try to order a Tab or Pepsi Free in our time, you get the same confusion and reaction.
"Listen if you want a Pepsi you're going to pay for it."

It's far less popular thanks to the plethora of diet soda varieties out there, but Tab does still exist. But your point remains valid on Pepsi Free. And when he asked for a phone book, would the people have one handy or tell him to Google it?

That is one scene that is dated for today's audiance. I was born in 1982, so whenever I see that scene I am like "what is he talking about?"

TAB's still around, though I think the general confusion would arise from no one drinking the swill. Yuck, that stuff.

TAB is still around, as mentioned, and it is delicious.

Pepsi Free still exists as well... as Caffeine Free Pepsi. depending on the persons age they'd either just give him a caffeine free Pepsi, or remark that they haven't heard anyone call it that in 20 years. And as for the phone book they might give him one... but what's he going to do with it? Pay phones are pretty much non existent now.

I just want to see Marty's reaction to all of today's internet speak. I think he'd be more amazed by the amount of porn on it. I also wonder if he'd go on American Idol or America's Got Talent?

This thread wasn't about going to 2011 and then be confused because all the movies are remakes of the popular 80's flicks?
