Very happy to see the Celtics pull out a game with a 4th string center a barely functioning Rondo

Even though they lost, Knicks showed they can hang with the Celtics.

If anything this game, despite them losing is probably the best case all season so far that the Knicks are back. Maybe not back to being a contender for the Eastern Conference title, but at the very least they should easily stroll into the post season this year and if they get Carmelo in the offseason and nab Chris Paul when he eventually leaves the Hornets(he will leave the Hornets eventually), I can see this team doing huge damage in the next few years.

spurs 21-3!!!!!! who saw THAT one coming at the beginning of the season? Not I. I thought their time was up. You know, that they were getting too old. However they've been playing great basketball.

And now I find out Joakim Noah is gone for 8 weeks thanks to needing thumb surgery. Great. That kinda screws me a bit in the B-league for the forums in the Yahoo! Fantasy leagues. My only other players that can play Center in that league are Andrew Bogut and....Chris Bosh.... -_-

I seriously feel sorry for every Knick fan who posts here. That was piss poor NBA officiating at its worst. In the fourth quarter the Celtics got away with murder and NY couldn't even play loose defense without getting called for something. If you're going to call a bullshit game, do it both ways. Don't let one team pull out a gun and shoot someone and not let the other team get within 5 feet of an offensive player. I didn't even have a rooting interest in this game, but that disgusted me.

That game was awesome, but the ending was a heartbreaker. If anything, it solidified Amar'e as a true MVP candidate. And it looks like the Knicks are playing some of their best basketball in years.

And it looks like the Knicks are playing some of their basketball in years. Fixed to eliminate silliness. Too big; too strong; too fast; too good. That award is coming back to the Madhouse on Madison where it belongs.

I have to disagree here. I recall a few times down the stretch, where NY got some bogus calls, including Galinari getting the and 1 after hitting a finger roll layup, and jerking his head around despite there being no contact on the play. I mean, they were in MSG, so it's hard for me to seriously say Boston got away with murder there, and the Knicks didn't get calls in the 4th. If you wanna talk about inconsistent officiating in close games, I felt like Andre Miller should have got that call towards the end of that Mavs/Blazers game. He drove hard to the rack, and got mugged but no foul? Come on! Dirk was ridiculous though. Mad props to him. He was just basically unguardable in that final few minutes for Dallas. Damn, Portland needed that win.

Yeah, I have to call BS here as well, watching the first three quarters of that game....Boston could do NOTHING...every time Amare touched the ball the whistle was right behind...every Celtic rally was snuffed out right away by cheap whistles...it's a well documented fact that Bill Kennedy (last night's lead official) is a HUGE Celtic hater (seriously, Google Bill Kennedy Doc Rivers...i'll wait) the Celtics won that game through pure heart and determination...to me the bias was on the opposite side, look no further than how long it took them to wave off Amare's three at the buzzer....Kennedy was looking for any sliver of an inconclusive angle to count the bucket and give the Knicks the win...All that being said, great game and if the Knicks keep this up they're going to be a very tough challenge for somebody come playoff time.

I love how close the top 5 in the West are. Just a couple of games are the difference between them.

Celtics general manager Danny Ainge said that Rajon Rondo will be out for "a couple of weeks" during an interview on WEEI this afternoon. www.boston.com/sports/basketball/celtics/extras/celtics_blog/2010/12/ainge_on_weei_r.htmlThis is obviously a damaging loss for the Celtics. However, Nate Robinson has played phenomenally when he is in the starting lineup. In four starts with Rondo ailing, Robinson has averaged 16.5 points and 5.5 assists, while shooting 62.5 percent from the floor. Also, the Celtics benefit from a relatively weak upcoming schedule. Let's say that Rondo misses a month. In that 12-game, four week stretch, the only teams with records above .500 that the Celtics face are Atlanta, Orlando, New Orleans, San Antonio and Chicago. Even if they go 7-5 in that stretch, they would still have a record of 27-9, which would still be good for the top seed in the conference.
