I can understand standing room only tickets, but this is ridiculous!! In 1996, I did this when the Super Bowl was played at Sun Devil Stadium & it was fun & crazy. Sure, the atmosphere is just as fun & you feel like you're a part of it...but give me a break!! This is a stupid idea & just another way to rip off fans!

If there is demand there is money to be made, You see it as ridiculous, some fools will gladly pay for it.

And also to clearify, the NFL is going into trade and labor negotiations this year.
If I've said it once, I'll say it a million times. The NFL is a money hungry monster that can no longer be fed.

I remember reading an article about them doing this before the new stadium was even finished. The story goes that there was a little minidome-stadium outside the main one that would be used for special events in the building plans.
They were gonna have just a big gigantic 20,000 people max Super Bowl party in it, with all refreshments outside of beer paid for with the ticket price. The biggest reason for this was so they could say the new Dallas stadium could have 100,000+ at the Super Bowl even if the stadium can only hold around 80,000.
I dunno what happened to that building. Just being outside the building seems like a gigantic glass of suck. Suppose it rains?

You know idiots are gonna buy the tickets regardless. So don't get mad at Jerry Jones and the NFL, get mad at the stupid people who are gonna buy those overpriced tickets.

I've heard that in normal circumstances, if you don't have a ticket to the game, you aren't allowed within 2 square miles of the stadium on Super Bowl Sunday. I'm pretty sure its for security reasons.
This just sounds really strange.

Why not just make the Super Bowl a PPV if they need more money?

Why not just make the Super Bowl a PPV if they need more money? PPV? The networks that pay billions for NFL rights would say hell no to that. They are aren't losing their millions per 30 second ad. Not gonna happen....ever. Redzone is the closest it will ever get. And even that is one time fee for the whole season, same for Sunday Ticket. But actual PPV for the Super Bowl? That would be like Wrestlemania 28 taking place at a county fairgrounds and being broadcast on public access.

Sadly, if people are going to pay for it, they'll offer it at those insane prices.
For some people, $200 seems a small price to pay to say "I went to a Super Bowl".
