Okay, I KNOW that the forbidden fruit wasn't actually an apple, but go with it.
So.
Like two weeks ago, I was at Safeway. I was looking at apples, and I just kinda offhandedly grabbed this one brand. All the sudden, this store employee was standing there giving me this weird look. I looked back at him.
He got all excited and said, "You're buying the Envy apples?! Have you had them before?!"
I just kinda went "Uhh, no?" and looked at the apple in my hand. The sticker on it said "Envy".
The guy turned away for a second, then came back with an apple in his hand and went, "I have one right here, as a sample! I'll give you a slice! It's amazing! It's the best apple I've ever had!"
I'm thinking, okay, Safeway must have gotten money to have their employees shill these Envy apples. It's just an apple, they pretty much all taste the same. But I was kinda hungry, so I decided to take a slice from the guy.
He stared excitedly at me as I ate it. As soon as I put it in my mouth, my entire world changed. This was the single greatest apple I've ever had in my life. There's no way I can describe it. It was perfect. It wasn't too soft, it wasn't too hard, it had the sweetest taste ever. It was just... Amazing.
I told this to the guy, and I grabbed three of the apples, put them in a bag, and continued shopping.
The problem is that now, two weeks later, Safeway is not carrying them anymore. I guess it was just a one-time thing.
I have literally been craving these apples for this entire time. I want them. I even looked up their website. Apparently, these apples were just made in 2009 in New Zealand.
MY LIFE IS BEING TORN APART. ALL I CAN THINK ABOUT ARE THESE APPLES.
