Damn it, why is that nerd Goldeneye winning?
Highest ranked on GameRankings.com for 12 years, people! Goldeneye doesn't even own a tv! It's a vegan!

Wrestlemania 2000 was better if we want to get into WWF N64 games.

Wrestlemania 2000 was better if we want to get into WWF N64 games. Personally, I disagree. Better roster, maybe, but the story mode of No Mercy was head and shoulders more enjoyable than WM 2000. Both great games, though.

Goldeneye.
While fun, I didn't think Zelda 64 was better then A Link to the past.

Goldeneye all the way.
Not just a great game, but a great ADAPTATION. That never happens with computer games, and even if it does they certainly don't stand the test of time.
Also, A Link To The Past is better than OoT.

Why is Goldeneye getting all the written praise but still behind in the votes?

I'm not one to spoil a contest, but both have been bettered so I wouldn't go back to them. However I will occasionally blow the dust off my N64 and stick in Starfox 64: Lylat Wars.
So yeah best N64 game for me is Star Fox 64

Star Fox 64, only correct answer. Ocarina is probably my favorite, but I'm incredibly tempted to agree.

As much as i love Ocarina of Time, I can't vote against Goldeneye. OoT was a wonderous world to dive into and explore, a superbly crafted masterpiece of a game. All the details, features and innovative touches made it great: playing songs on the ocarina to achieve different goals, travelling through time and playing as both adult and kid Link, galloping around on Epona, and all the kooky characters and little games-within-the-game that you encountered throughout. The graphics and gameplay were excellent too.
The multiplayer aspect is always mentioned when Goldeneye is talked about and with good reason - it was absolutely super-awesome. The variety of weapons, Bond characters and battlegrounds available as well as the ridiculously enjoyable gameplay made for hours upon hours of legendary battles with friends. I used to have some epic battles with my housemates, we played so much that at least one controller got worn out. It seems that the multiplayer somewhat overshadows the 1 player game and i'd like to mention that this was also brilliant in it's own right. It's one of the very few games that i've ever gone through and completed more than once, did it on all three difficulty levels: Agent, Secret Agent, and 00 Agent. The missions were fun and challenging. The graphics may look badly dated by today's standards, but it's still my favourite first person shooter that i've ever played.
Both great great games, but for me Goldeneye edges out OoT.

Why is Goldeneye getting all the written praise but still behind in the votes? Because I've hired ninjas to jack the votes up in favour of OOT I don't know.
