I collected for almost 20 years but have read about 30 years worth of comics thru trade paperbacks as well. I was organizing my books this last week and came across several crossover or big events. I almost missed the boat on the Onslaught crossover because of money crunch so the next year I made sure I got every single issue pertaining to Operation Zero Tolorance. Man what a waste. I should have just used that money to buy back issues of the Onslaught and AOA events. Your thoughts?

Zero Tolerance was quite meh whereas Onslaught gave us Heroes Reborn.
So Onslaught Saga it is.

Why is Inferno even on this list?
Inferno & X-Tinction Agenda are the best crossovers they ever did in the X-Men comics

I have to vote Onslaught by default since it's the only one I've read. Looking back, it was pretty crappy.

I loved inferno( Sinister is the best baddy eva). Extinction agenda never really took hold w/me. Another poster mentioned the aftermath of Onslaught giving us heroes reborn. I forgot how connected they were. I still will not deviate from Zero Tolorance but the fallout from onsaught was pretty lame. The story was fast paced and entertaining. Also I am biased as I actually got ahold of #0430 of 2000 gold copies of Onslaught Marvel universe. One of the jewels of my collection

I would've liked Civil War better if I didn't read the exact same storyline in this book more than a decade earlier.

I've only been reading for about 7 years so I've gotta vote for House of M.
It was a good concept, turned crappy by the fact very few major mutants lost their powers and of the one's who did, most seemed to have regained their original powers in some shape or form or gotten different ones. Some even a mere matter of weeks later. Like Polaris, she regained her's in like 2 issues.
Kinda made the whole thing pointless.

Did the Executioner ever actually manage to kill anyone?

Avengers Dissassembled. not just because of the character derailment. not just because of the pointless killing off of Ant-man 2 and Vision, but because it was the beginning of Bendis' largely awful run on Avengers. I still can't believe this schmuck has been running that franchise for almost 7 years now.

Age of Apocalypse for me.
Just plain never cared for it at all.
Onslaught was a decent story, just the Heroes Reborn stuff that was poor (even if it was a for-runner to the much loved Ultimate crap).

Did the Executioner ever actually manage to kill anyone? Yes actually, although not right during the run. Stryfe released the Legacy virus at the end and it killed many mutants over the next few years. He almost got Apocalypse while he was at it but En Saba nur is tougher than he thought

Can I count "Secret Invasion", I thought the side issues (Thunderbolts: SI etc) were much better than the actual story

I really disliked House of M. Most issues, it felt like nothing whatsoever happened. It was a 6 or 7 issue miniseries (I forget how many) that could have been done in 3. It was like 70% padding.

House of M did kinda drag on. One thing though, the series did give us Layla Miller Sure, she was Little Miss Plot Device in House of M but she became awesome in X-Factor. . .until they decided to turn her old and killed everything I loved about her character Creepy, 14 year old, "I know stuff" Layla Miller is one of my favourite Marvel characters, despite only been around for what, 20 or so issues?

I can't in good conscience vote for Onslaught as that was the basis for Marvel vs. Capcom, one of my all time favourite fighting games.
