I remember several years ago before moving to MyNetwork TV there was talk of making SMACKDOWN an exclusive show to WWE.com
If SyFy decides to quit carrying the show, could you see this being the wave of the future for the blue brand?

USA will probably pick it up, as they did a good rating on Tuesday.

...On the bright side, if it did air online I could actually watch it.
In fact, I don't see why they don't have an online archive of previous non-PPV wrestling shows.

In fact, I don't see why they don't have an online archive of previous non-PPV wrestling shows. They do. WWE's official YouTube's account has all episodes of Superstars, Smackdowns and NXT shown in complete with Raw being clipped up. That being said, no way Smackdown goes online only. They'll move to USA if anything else. Remember, Universal owns both Syfy and USA, so it is not far outside the realm of possibility after their Syfy deal is up.

I doubt they'd spend all the money to hold tapings for a show only a couple of thousand people would watch online. They'd more likely air Smackdown on USA or possibly Bravo (another Universal-owned network).

Fixed that for you, Tony. ;D BTW-- the wwefanation channel only shows complete NXT and replay shows. They clip up Superstars and Smackdown, as well as RAW.
