Any sorta one on one battle I woulda preferred. If anything, Punk aligning himself with a group of guys that Cena has out and out made his bitches for two straight months makes Punk look like an idiot more than it does Nexus being more ruthless or whatever. Or in kayfabe it makes Punk look smart and more threatening?

CM Punk sides with the guys who've been beaten so badly by Cena that they wanted an unconditional truce with him ... of course! It was to let his guard down. I'm guessing this is Punk's surprise: He knew Cena wouldn't make peace with Nexus and set this up to prove how violent and unforgiving he is ... or something. I know. It still doesn't explain what Punk thinks he stands to gain from leading a stable as ineffective as what the Nexus has become.

Exactly! People crapping all over a twist? The 'Crap lives on! What twist though? It's the exact same thing we've seen since the outset of Nexus only with Punk in the Barrett role. How the hell do you know that? If you've seen the next month of RAW's could you please share them with us?

Wade is still buried under those chairs. Wade: 'ello? Can someone get me out of 'ere? 'ELLO?" Wade: I think my legs might be broken but I'll try to stand up.. *snap* Wade: AH! Yup, they are broken.

Y'know, it actually makes perfect sense with the truce offer. Punk was testing Cena. Would he let bygones be bygones, be the better man after Punk lectured him? Or would he stay the same old self-centred aggressor? If Cena made the right decision, Punk could have come out and said that the surprise was that he'd made Cena grow as a person. If not, he'd suffer a Nexus beatdown and Punk would reveal his master plan. Cena chose... Poorly. Great post here. ---------------- My thoughts on RAW overall. RAW was in the middle, not good, not bad. The crowd really hurt the show, the got loud for Cena then died during his and Punk opening segment, stayed dead for awhile, Miz woke them up, but die again during the Miz/Lawler match, Orton got them awake again during some of his match with Sheamus, but overall a bad crowd. Cheer, Boo, Chant, DO SOMETHING! Miz vs. Lawler was really slow because of Lawler looking lost. I'm upset that Miz lost, but I can't say I'm shocked he lost. Miz beating the crap out of Lawler later on was good too see. Hopefully Lawler is gone for awhile. Finally I can't decide if I like the angle with Punk as the new leader of Nexus or not. I did mark when he put on the arm band. though.

And for anyone who's not liking Punk as leader of Nexus, let me remind you...for a few minutes, it looked like Otunga was going to be leader.

Wish all of the Nexus guys could be replaced with Barrett for a Punk/Barrett power trip of sorts, but we'll see where Barrett goes now.

Their ship has sailed when it comes to looking threatening. Punk would have been better off by himself just playing mind games with Cena.

Punk staring at the armband then putting it on was a tremendous visual. That facet was very compelling and well done.

This is gonna be a big feud and its gonna need some weight to carry it for a couple of months. There will be more twists and turns I'm thinking.

Punk is not a failed stable leader. The problem with SES is that they weren't given any meanigful wins, feuds, or any good promo time in order to look threatening. They lost a match and then proceeded to do the typical beat down.
I think they realize Punk is great at generating heat and it should rub off on the rest of Nexus.

With Wade, at a certain point, Nexus became Wade and his henchmen. Because of the way Punk led the SES, I think we're going to see Nexus operating more like they did at the beginning, where they were ruthless and effective. Hopefully, we'll see the return of Sheffield and Tarver soon, and they can get stronger going into WM.

I would love to think that but seriously...this is the WWE. Every time this happens everyone says "wait and see". What end up happening? The angle sucks. If they screwed up potentially one of the best angles ever in the original Nexus, what makes you think this one will be any better? Look at the track record. All signs point to major suckage.
