Sweet shot. I've said this before during his first week in the WWE; Del Rio is like if a bunch of scientists took the DNAs of JBL, Eddie Guerrero and Evolution Randy Orton and created the perfect hybrid. The guy is fantastic. Every time I hear his theme hit, I know I'm in for a treat.

I read in an interview that Del Rio was worried about his facial mannerisms because he wrestled under a mask for so long. Honestly, I think realising that makes all the difference as you can tell he worked so hard on getting the mannerisms down perfectly. If he had never worked under the mask, I honestly don't think he'd be as good as he is in that regard.

Personally, I'm not that high on him. He bores me on the mic, and I just don't see what he has that sets him apart from everybody else.

Man, there really needs to be more discussion about Alberto Del Rio. The guy is probably the only guy to come along in the past decade that I genuinely look forward to his music hitting. I'm not including HBK/Taker/etc, as in guys that were big before the last decade and have continued into this decade. Del Rio just screams star everytime he's onscreen. I like a few other guys like DBD, Dashing Cody Rhodes, and I'm a fan of Laycool's heelness, but nothing is close to ADR in star potential for me right now. He has it all, and he's just unique.

That is exactly how I feel about him. Bravo. Charm and charisma just ooze off him.

Out of everyone on the current roster, to me he's the one that I see as a breakout bigger-than-WWE star down the road -- on the level of standard-bearers of the past like Hogan, Rock, Austin, etc.

I hadn't gotten to see much of Del Rio until I went to Survivor Series. The man won me over instantly with his promo with Rhodes and Swagger. He just kept it going with the classic SS match when he kept mocking Show only to tag Drew McIntyre in. His smug reaction while talking smack to show before getting the KO Punch was just about the highlight of the night for me.

The is something about the way he carries himself that just screams "I'M A BIG DEAL."

Definatly hope they don't drop the ball on this guy, he deserves a nice long JBL style title reign next year.

Yeah, he's clearly much better than "average" in the ring, I don't know where that's coming from. If somebody doesn't like his style then fair enough, but that's not the same thing.

I would say he won't get it AT Wrestlemania, but give it a couple PPVs after WM, and I think we're looking at a champ.
