Due to my having an incredible amount of time on my hands, I've decided to go into the turns of WWE, as a relation piece to that of TNA. WWE has 4 television shows, and here are some notes. I also will need to find a list of guys released this year, and to see if they turned. Basically, I did a list of all the guys who didn't turn heel with TNA, but with WWE, that may take too long. So, here are your turns this year:
Raw:
-Daniel Bryan - 2 turns
Daniel had probably the shortest heel turn in the history of wrestling, but definitely made it an impactful one. He joined up with Nexus attacking John Cena, and doing an act so heinous, it got him fired, chocking someone with a tie. After feeling remorse for his actions, Daniel Bryan returned at SummerSlam as a babyface.
-Darren Young - 2 turns
Whether he's known as Black Cena or the Missing Link, Darren Young did the same thing Daniel Bryan did, as he was a babyface during NXT Season 1. He turned babyface after being crushed by Nexus, and has been competing for the Superstars Championship ever since.
-David Hart Smith - 1 turn
Started out the year as a heel, but turned babyface at Wrestlemania, joining up with Bret Hart while he beat the fudge out of Vince McMahon.
-Heath Slater - 1 turn
See above with Daniel Bryan and Darren Young. Was a babyface generally during his run on NXT, but turned with the big Nexus beat down.
-Justin Gabriel - 1 turn
Bah, now I have to get creative. Justin, who while I like in the ring, definitely does not scream "heel", though he's starting to earn his heel stripes by growing a beard. Bearded men are evil!
-Melina - 1 turn
Turned heel recently after a long run as a babyface. She wants that Butterfly belt, and she doesn't care who she has to step on to get it!
-Michael Cole - 1 turn
After years of being the announcer everyone hated, Michael Cole let his inner jock out, and turned Daniel Bryan what was what. Now, whenever I think of a nerd, the first thing that pops into my head is a vegan who doesn't own a tv.
-Michael McGillicutty - 1 turn
This maybe argued. He was kinda babyface at the start, then slowly shifted heel during NXT, until finally, at that very moment..., ahh, you know the joke. Still has the worst name ever.
-Natalya - 1 turn
Turned along with the rest of the Hart Dynasty this year, and has been babyface ever since. And, is the top female babyface in the company.
-Primo - 1 turn
The GM of Superstars turned heel after his brother convinced him too. Peer pressure I guess. However, Carlito was given the boot soon after, so it was kind of a pointless turn.
-Randy Orton - 1 turn
After a long time of killing people with a kick to the head, Randy Orton saw the light and ended his evil ways of....kicking babyfaces in the head. Now, he kicks heels in the head. Well, he does it less frequently, so maybe he's getting control of his IED, or whatever he had a few years ago.
-Skip Sheffield - 1 turn
Was a babyface at the start of NXT, but slowly turned before the season ended. I think anyway. Anyway, even if he didn't, he joined in with the big Nexus beatdown.
-Tamina - 1 turn
Tamina was struck by Santino Marella's cobra, and the bite was brutal indeed.
-Tyson Kidd - 2 turns
Started the year off as a heel, but turned at Wrestlemania with the rest of the Hart Dynasty. That didn't last long though, as WWE had their usual sudden desire to break a tag team up. WWE is like a serial killer when it comes to tag teams. It kills one tag team, and then goes into a cooling off period til it breaks up another tag team.
-Vladamir Kozlov - 1 turn
Started the year off as a heel, and became babyface after being convinced to by Santino and his antics. It lead to his first taste of WWE gold though at least.
And that is the turn count for Raw. 18 turns for Raw, a number of which happened on that one Raw where Heath Slater, Justin Gabriel, Daniel Bryan and Darren Young all turned heel. Since I'm bored and laying in bed on Christmas eve, I will post Smackdown's next.
