Im not talking about their fued in 2003. Im talking about a main event fued if eddie had lived in say 2007? Eddie and Cena were both my favorite wrestlers when I first started watching wrestling in 2004. I think a face/face fued or Eddie as the heel would of worked

Yes, indeed, and it would have been brilliant.
Also "in" before the "Spoiler: Cena Wins" posts.

It would of been good as his feud with HBK in '07.

Guerrero's reactions were off the chart, and Cena more than held his own. But it only really works if Cena's the bad guy. The crowd never wanted to boo Eddie. They would under duress, but he was too likeable to be a bad guy.

Definitely before WWE's creative department started getting the influence that it has now...today I'm not so sure.

I'm not just saying this because of how much of a fan I was or how tragic I thought his death was..but I think had he been alright and lived, Eddie could of gotten a lot of mileage out of WWE (or vice versa) for years with feuds with all kind of talent and successfully remaining fresh.

Seeing Eddie get squashed? I have no desire.

Seeing Eddie get squashed? I have no desire. It wouldn't have been squashing IMO. Eddie would have definitely gotten a win.

Seeing Eddie get squashed? I have no desire. Rey already did the honors.

Not only would it have worked, but it would have been one of Cena's better feuds during that time.

I wonder what would of happened if Cena stayed on Smackdown in 2005, and Eddie fueded with him fresh off his fued with Rey That, or maybe Eddie could have jumped to RAW at some point and feuded then. But I wonder if Eddie would have remained on Smackdown since he was one of the top guys of that brand. I do wonder this, I wonder if in 2007 or something, we would have seen another parking lot brawl like we did in 2003.

Better squashed than dead, on this side of the veil at least. So I would like to see that.

I don't think that would be a deal breaker though, though you could do it face/face, while playing up the fact that the fans are 50/50 on Cena. But I think you could still do Eddie heel vs. Cena the face, just because I know if that's what the angle called for Eddie would do his damndest to get people to boo him no matter how much they didn't want to.
