Or even the moon?
I mean, most of us here, should with any luck, be around for at least 50 more years.
What do you think the odds are of you going to space/the moon within that timeframe?
I certainly hope I'll get the chance as it's a big dream of mine.

I hope so. I can't tell you how much it disappoints me the state of the space race in contemporary Western society. I hope the likes of China and India one day show us how it should be done, because frankly, few people in the U.K. seem to give a shit about our future in space. Sadly, the biggest driving force for any sort of space development will come either from money or necessity, rather than the largely now-deceased notion of exploration.
I dunno, I wish I'd been born in the future!

It seems unlikely, unless they can manage cheaper commercial flights; unfortunately, I do not have $500,000 to $1 million for a seat on a flight into space. I would much prefer some advancements in the field of cryonics, so that I may be "thawed" in an era when space visitation is a common thing.

Exactly, I'd love to but it's so damn expensive it's ridiculous. I mean, I can kind of guess why it's expensive considering you're flying somebody into space, but that's not something that's plausible to me at that price. I'll just put up a poster of space, stare at it and pretend instead ;D

Only if I save up a lot of dinero.
Otherwise, no. Considering it's a chore for me to get up at 6 AM some days, I doubt I'd have the discipline to go through astronaut training.

Yep, I'll definitely be alive 50 years from no, if I have no sudden medical problems or car accidents that are fatal.

I'll be alive in 50 years time. . .sadly I'll be 73 by then so a trip to outta space will be a big no-no I'm afraid. I've got shoulder and back problems already, I shudder to think of what I'll be like in 50 years time It's a shame. I'd love to go. Would be awesome to see what the world is like in say 200 years, see if we have a city on the moon, contact with alien races etc.

Yeah but it will probably be too common, the moon will have a theme park on it and you'll have to work on spaceships to deliver packages.

I think the question is will I ever go into space again?
Or perhaps I've said too much.

If you ask me if I want to go somewhere in space then I will say "Second star to the right... and straight on till morning."
"Space, the final frontier. These are the continuing voyages of the starship Enterprise. Her ongoing mission, to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life forms and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone... before."- Spock in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan

Not until they figure out some ways to rescue people from space accidents, I'm not getting left up there to die.
Also, it's not cost efficient.

I'll be one of the old guys they send to the Moon to live there by himself along with his dog. I'll just sit on the porch complaining to him about the weather and the price of rocket fuel. Old Man Banjo who lives on the moon with his dog "Biscuits." And when the next space craft lands here, I can yell at them for being on my lawn.
