I'm sitting down to watch it right now, so what did everyone think?
In a way the last 7 episodes was one big finale.

I haven't seen it since it aired but I remember liking it. It felt definitive but still open possibilities for the crew. Bashir got a Dax like he always wanted. Miles left but could come back. Worf become an Ambassador before going back to the Enterprise apparantly.

I loved it, except for the Dukat/Winn/Pagh Wraith side story. They just didnt have enough time for it, and it felt so rushed and just...tacked on.

Worf become an Ambassador before going back to the Enterprise apparantly. I like how in the movies Worf's reasons for being on the Enterprise become less and less important. Like in First Contact he's on the Defiant defending Earth from the Borg attack, in Insurrection he's at some conference or something, and then in Nemesis he's just there. They don't even bother to explain it. Anyway, I thought the finale was fine, except for all the filler. I wasn't so high on the whole "Sisko becomes a God" thing either, but that's mostly because I hated the idea of him being conceived by the Prophets to begin with.

I loved how in Insurrection Picard asks why Worf is on the Enterprise, and the camera quickly pans away and all you hear is Worf mumbling, "Well I was mum mum mum mum..."
I thought it was really funny the way they did it. Almost like the movie broke the fourth wall and was like, Worf is here because he's here, and it's none of your damn business.

I know what you mean, this should have been something going on all season long, but considering the, well, almost the fight they had to get some level of serialisation, I'm not surprised, seeds had been planted before, Dukat's interest in the Pagh Wraiths, Winn's lack of faith in the Prophets because Sisko was the Emissary. It's just that part of the actual story was a little rushed.

The last half of the 7th season is awesome, but the whole wrap up to the Dukat story just felt like an afterthought. Which is really disappointing because Dukat was such a fantastic character throughout the series. Probably the best villain in any Trek series, including Khan

Well the buildup to the final episode in terms of Winn/Dukat wasn't bad at all. Kai Winn turning evil was done very well, and Dukat's manipulations were subtle and not rushed at all.
It's the final episode in and of itself that this side story breaks down. It's almost like when Sisko was dancing with Kasidy and suddenly felt he had to go to the Fire Caves, that was almost the writers at the same time going, "Oh, we forgot about that."

It's a cliche, but they could have gone with Winn/Dukat kidnapping Kassidy, either for some ritual, just to hurt Sisko the most, or specifically to lure him to them, where they had some plan to destroy him.
