OK, so I just finished Crystal Lake Memories and it was a lot of fun, so now I'm looking for my next read book on famous film franchises. I'd especially be into a book about the Child's Play and Superman films.
Any recommendations?

Not a book, but Behind the Planet of the Apes is a really great overview biography of the Planet of the Apes series, though it does spend a lot more time on the first one than the sequels. There are several books on Planet of the Apes (Eric Greene's Planet of the Apes and American Myth is probably the most notable but is more theoretical/critical than biographical, Planet of the Apes Revisited is comprehensive enough but also kind of been-there-done-that), but I don't feel there's a really great definitive book like I've heard Crystal Lake Memories is.
Paul Gagne's The Zombies that Ate Pittsburgh is out of print and expensive, but provides an excellent look at Romero's films, with ample focus on the first three Dead movies (as the book was written in 1987 it was spared the lesser subsequent films of the last decade).
