I've always had a massive soft spot for EY, even when he was doing the absolute bottom of the barrel angles, because he's a company man/trooper in the way that so many of these big name, no draw "Come in, squeeze every ounce of money into my pocket, and get out" guys aren't. If nothing else, he should be making their salary. Him and the Knockouts. Because God only knows the people they're giving astronomical salaries too now haven't made much of a dent at all. Hell, homegrown talent pushed as hard as RVD, Hardy, and the Immortals would probably do numbers just as good for half the cost.

I wonder if they'll have to blur out the belt of the real world's champion...

So is he gonna start carrying a 2x4 and getting the crowd to chant U-S-A too?

From tonight's Impact: {Spoiler}Orlando asks him where he got it and he goes on about training since the age of 6, etc. It's pretty funny. Oh, and he's hired two "Hooters Girls" as valets, one looks suspiciously Brooke Hogan-esque.
He then asks his sensei, Brian Kendrick for advice on his first title defence later in the night.
His match is... Generation Me vs Eric Young, and OJ IN A HOOTERS UNIFORM.
Or at least until Eric calls the match a battle royal and throws Brian Hebner out of the ring. I wish I had made that up. Not because it's bad, but because it's so good I wish I had thought of it.

That was the old TNA World Title he picked out of the trash, wasn't it?
Sorry for the double threads, this is just the first time I've watched a full Impact in a while. My confusion to everything tells me it hasn't improved.

I assume that TNA is like the Djinn in Wishmaster. Manipulating requests of the wrestlers.
"Eric Young, for taking a 50% cut, we shall grant you...one wish."
"I wish to hold the TNA World Championship for at least a month!"
*Evil Smile* "...Then it is so."

As far as I'm concerned...he IS the real TNA World's champion! He's an original, and he can go, instead of almost being stripped of the title because he was in no condition to wrestle.

...wow, just how bad is trash pick-up for the Impact Zone? I mean, if they were doing their damn jobs, that should have been gone weeks ago!

EY reminds me a lot of Crash Holly. The guy is a smaller guy who will probably never reach main event level yet he is an impressive worker and can turn the dumbest stuff into great stuff.

Eric Young has Brian Kendrick as his spiritual guide. This is the best thing ever.

Congratulations to EY for his first successful title defense in a grueling five-man battle royal.

Been a good time to be EY, I think. He's World Champion with a successful first title defense, he's a backup singer, he's dating Mickie James, and he's got Kendrick as an advisor.

I love this angle.
Everyone in TNA should just refuse to acknowledge Hardy as champion and declare Eric's belt the top belt.

I love this angle. Everyone in TNA should just refuse to acknowledge Hardy as champion and declare Eric's belt the top belt. If they went this way, I'd mark. I no longer recognize Hardy as world champ. Eric Young is MY champ!
