www.radaronline.com/exclusives/2010/12/exclusive-hulk-hogan-checks-hospital-back-surgeryRadar Online has reported that Hulk Hogan checked into a Tampa hospital to have surgery in an attempt to stabilize his back problems, which have worsened recently. "The idea is to look for real solutions because of the ongoing wear and tear," says their source. Hogan might be in the hospital over Christmas, and could be out as early as New Year. I hate to say it, but Hogan might be spending the rest of his years in a wheelchair if his back problems continue.

I'd have to say you might be correct.

. "The idea is to look for real solutions because of the ongoing wear and tear," says their source. I'm sorry, but shouldn't this have been the idea from the start?

That definitely sucks. I'm wondering if there is a good way to help his back problems, besides surgery after surgery.

It must suck to have something that you love as much as Hogan loves wrestling, but at the same time it's tearing your body apart to the point where you can't or shouldn't

That sucks. As much as we talk about Hogan not being good for TNA, I mean, if he's going to be there, it would probably be better if he could drop the leg on a few folks, as crazy as that sounds. Hogan actually being able to do what he does best might draw a few viewers. Hogan hobbling around saying "brother" isn't.
Plus, as much as I've lost some respect for Terry Bolea the man, I would like to see him be healthy, regardless of his involvement or non-involvement with wrestling.

Hulk really doesn't have to wrestle ever again, so hopefully he can find a treatment/surgery that alleviates his pain and gives him a good quality of life.

Bubba the Sponge was right, who have thunk it. ;D
Sorry now that is out of the way. I feel really bad for Hogan, poor guy. It sucks to be ill over the holidays.

Back issues are not something to be taken lightly, and my sincere hope is that Hulk Hogan fully recovers from this latest (and hopefully LAST necessary) back surgery and then just steps away from wrestling entirely, or at least scales his involvement back to behind the scenes stuff or GM like roles.
Sadly, I do not think that will be the case. But I can hope. :/

Bubba to Hogan: ""There's a lot of people who love you, and we love you because you can still walk." Guess they won't love the poor guy once he can no longer walk.

Dear Hulk,
If (and hopefully when) the back surgery is completed and you are able to live your life as free from pain and debilitation as it is possible for a man who has wrestled for as long as you have, please, PLEASE walk away from the wrestling business. It will be hard, probably the hardest thing you have ever done, but do it for yourself and do it for the millions and millions of "Hulkamaniacs" across the globe.
You have brought pleasure to many throughout your career. Now you need to walk away from it all. If you feel you want or need to contact Vince McMahon for the sendoff and retirement you deserve, then do so, with the blessing and respect of TNA fans, of WWE fans, of wrestling fans everywhere.
Do not remain in a business that you have given so much to and will continue to take from you for as long as you are involved in it. While ever you are in around the business, the temptation to do "one more match" will always be there.
There have been too many wrestlers who gave their lives to the business, then lost their lives unexpectedly andrtragically. We, the fans, will be happy to know that somewhere you are out there, being happy with your new wife and living a quiet, relaxed life.
There is no shame in people seeing you on occasion and saying "oh, he's out of shape now" or "I didn't realise he was still alive". Far better to have people say that than "Hulk? Yea, he died. He didn't know when to give it up."
Live long, live well, be healthy and be happy.
Kindest regards,
Hulkamaniacs & Wrestling fans everywhere.
