Just watched something on him on Bio. Doctor told him he needed to have his back fuse and he refuses to do it. Saddly this is likely the only thing that will truley help him at this point.

Spinal fusion would effectively END his days as an active in ring wrestler, is probably why he won't do it. Hell, if it's bad enough, it could end his days of true mobility entirely.

Anyone else hoping that if Hogan ends up in a wheelchair, they put Flair back in one, and they chase each other around backstage for a whole show, showing up randomly in promos, and the Tara/Mickie fight?

This is not intended as a pop at TNA, this is just out of concern for Hogan.
He can't stop working, the poor (in this case) dude he needs the money for Linda's alimony.
He can't work what TNA need from him to make it financially viable for either party in his current health.
I really hope the guy breaks ties with TNA when possible without hurting the company and goes to work for Vince in an ambassador role. The money will be regular, safe and will be within an already established corporate environment. He can make more money of new merch etc, do personal appearances and not have to put his body through any physical trials.
He needs to step away from an on screen role and put his health and welfare first.

You've got to know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em.

I've got some good news from an update.
- Hulk Hogan is said to be "recovering smoothly" after his back surgery yesterday. Hogan checked into the hotel yesterday after his longtime back injuries had worsened. He received spinal fusion, the procedure for which took about ten hours.
"We hope he'll be able to leave the hospital relatively quickly," said a source. "He's always taken very good care of himself and in very good physical shape."

He'd be great as a new Jack Tunney/Gorilla Monsoon-type that has storyline control but isn't an active character. He just shoots studio vignettes around the big PPVs and during controversial angles. No more in-ring action whatsoever.

It's pretty sad actually. Due to his Ex Wife sucking everything out of him and is demanding even more money from him after all the years he spent saving, he feels he has no choice but to continue.

I'm tempted to stand under his window holding a boombox over my head, playing "Real American".

Hogan just not having any luck this last two years. Outside of his marriage. It making that Hulkamania tour look more and more like a terrible idea to have done it. Just because what the after effects have been on Hogan's health to work that tour.
I'm blaming the tour more on it then I blame anything in TNA. To think his last match was a TV tag match that most will forget in a couple years. Not what I expect for the end of Hogan wrestling days. I just hope he can live the rest of his life able to do things with his wife. Stay away from the ring Hogan. I think Imortials stable should just go now. All it really is Fourtine +2 anyways now.
