I have only just watched the PPV, can't believe there is not a Shark Boy thread already!!!!
I marked out when his music hit!
It's great to see him back, but didn't he get released recently??? So he's under contract and doesn't appear for nearly 2 years, then the moment he gets released he comes back to TV?

SHELL YEAH!
I thought I was the lone "Shark Boy" fan around these parts, LOL! I mean, every time a thread came up about who TNA ought to get rid of, TONS of people put him at the top of their list. I mean, I don't see why the hell TNA would ever get rid of the guy who could be their own Rey Mysterio (if they'd let him) but if they ever SHOULD, I think the WWE should scoop him up in a heartbeat.
Seems they're in need of another charismatic masked wrestler to carry on when Rey inevitably hangs it up, and I think that with their marketing, Shark Boy could be it. The mask, the kid appeal....am I the ONLY one who sees that?

The mask, the kid appeal....am I the ONLY one who sees that? No, but those in charge of TNA hardly ever notice when their long term talent get over. Take the case of Daffney tonight on Impact! I've always thought that Shark Boy could, at the very least, be a great comedy type character for TNA. Remember his Stone Cold Sharkboy Shirt was one of the best selling shirts in TNA during 2008 & early 2009. Yet TNA has done nothing with the guy in months.

I have been saying for a couple of years now that the best long-term angle TNA could do (as opposed to the constant and continuance invasion/taking-over-TNA angle) would be to recreate the WWE SCSA Attitude Era angle with Sharkboy at the center.
Sharkboy, in the SCSA role, of course, could rebel against Eric/Hogan or Dixie or whoever and basically follow the old WWE script. The key would be Sharkboy and everyone else taking their roles completely seriously -- which would make it work as a straight angle and still also work in a humorous vein.

It's the ONLY thing from TNA I've ever thought was cool or clever enough to wear...plus it plays up my love for sharks in general. ;D Oh, and saintpat....agreed 100%. Sadly, there's been more thought in booking in this single thread about Shark Boy than TNA has put into him in ages.

Wait, is this normal Shark Boy that we're talking about, or Stone Cold Shark Boy?

Wait, is this normal Shark Boy that we're talking about, or Stone Cold Shark Boy? I think it's an amalgamation of the two.

Wait, is this normal Shark Boy that we're talking about, or Stone Cold Shark Boy? It was normal Shark Boy up until Cookie antagonized him, then he hit her with a Stunner. So yea, a mix I suppose.

Oh the memories, I think Shark Boy (and Swagger's Soaring Egle) is a good example of how wrestling can beat MMA. MMA is a straight up shoot fighting product, where as wrestling has room for over comedy acts. It is the whole big tent concept Foley talked about in his first book, if you do not like one thing you'll like one of the others. I however sadly feel that many modern promoters have lost sight of this concept (see phasing out of comedy characters, managers & light heavyweights). ;D
