I'm playing a game as the WWE that I started as a 1997 Montreal Screwjob scenario. I managed to sign Bret Hart in 2000 and used him as part of a WCW Invasion storyline, I also signed a lot of other WCW stars whose contracts were running out.
Fast forward 3 years to 2003. Bret has been main eventing since his arrival in the WWE and he just had a huge match at Wrestlemania XIX, Hulk Hogan and Bret Hart Vs. Triple H and John Cena which went over extremely well. I'm thinking its time though for the Hitman to retire and let some new talent move up but first I want to give him an awesome sendoff storyline.
Should I book him against a new up and comer like Cena or CM Punk so he can leave while elevating a new star or should he walk out after a massive dream match? HBK Vs. Hitman one last time?
so many possibilities. I need input.

Haven't posted about my fed in a long time. It's the MWF (My Wrestling Federation), real creative, I know. I started it in a 2010 scenario and did it as a startup, the rationale being someone won the Powerball and started a fed to put TNA out of business. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) We're currently in WK 2 February 2011. Here's the title histories which should give you some background on the rough start and then the buildup afterwards. MWF Midcard Tite: 1) Kaval (WK 4 September 2010 - WK 1 January 2011): Division description is pretty apt. Just something for the nobodies to do. I tried to get Kaval over as the safe choice in a tourney. (Shawn McNeil, aka Percy Watson was the original choice but I decided against it) Nothing he's done has been over at all. 2) Bryan Danielson (WK 1 January 2011 - ): His title feud with Kaval was a dud but I'm blaming that on Kaval, it actually got pulled off the Jan PPV and put on the B show the day before. Currently will be in a feud with Wade Barrett, and then longterm on to Chris Daniels. MWF Super Crusier: 1) Sonjay Dutt (WK 4 July 2010 - WK 4 September 2010) 2) Chris Daniels (WK 4 September 2010 - WK 4 November 2010) 3) Sonjay Dutt (WK 4 November 2010 - WK 4 January 2011) 4) Alberto Del Rio (WK 4 January 2011 - ) Pretty much was a nothing division until the creation of a Super Cruiser show. Dutt and Daniels were the only ones getting TV time. Now there's at least 4 match slots a week for this division. Del Rio was built up from a scrubby Dos Caras Jr. in the game, took awhile to learn English. This is his springboard. He won't hold it long term. MWF Womens: Who cares, the division is largely nonexistant. Cheerleader Melissa, as Melissa, is the champ and has been for a month or so, division is finally showing signs of maybe coming together. Only non-jobbers are here, Hamada, Kong and Trish Stratus. MWF Tag: 1) Motor City Machine Guns (WK 4 May 2010 - WK 4 June 2010) 2) Dudleys (WK 4 June 2010 - WK 1 August 2010) 3) Motor City Machine Guns (WK 1 August 2010 - WK 4 September 2010) 4) Dudleys (WK 4 September 2010 - WK 4 November 2010) 5) Kings of Wrestling (WK 4 November 2010 - ) You can tell there wasn't much going on here for awhile. lol. Starting to build the division up a bit. KOW is being used as a vehicle for Chris Hero, who was glorified enhancement talent until Claudio was signed. They'll be losing this month at the PPV to Chavito (Chavo and Carlito) to set Hero's push in motion. I'm not paying him $15K a month (after both TNA and WWE went cult for awhile, I reopened his deal and took a risk to sign him long term) for this. MWF US: 1) Hernandez (WK 1 June 2010 - WK 4 June 2010): Yeah, I don't know what the thought process was here, but hey, it was a startup. 2) Mr. Anderson (WK 4 June 2010 - WK 1 August 2010) 3) Elijah Burke (WK 1 August 2010 - WK 4 September 2010) 4) Lucifer (WK 4 September 2010 - WK 1 December 2010): Lucifier is Kevin Thorn doing an occult/satanic gimmick, which is an A* gimmick. Started out as a jobber in a tag-team with Gangrel (LOL) and has worked his way up to a legit ME'er. But his contract is up, he's going to lose his current feud to RVD in a Buried Alive match and go off TV until I know he'll be back. 5) Samoa Joe (WK 1 December 2010 - ): He'll be holding this for awhile, maybe until my big anniversary PPV in May. Trying to build him up to be a top top guy but he's getting resistance as overness goes. He's destined for a feud with Hero down the line. MWF Universal Championship: 1) Abyss (WK 4 May 2010 - WK 4 July 2010): Won the title in a 1 day tournament to set up RVD's chase. Since then he's basically been in side attraction feuds, like one against Foley. 2) RVD (WK 4 July 2010 - WK 2 October 2010): Probably the most protected guy in the company, I don't think he's lost a feud and his title fued with Angle ended inconculsively in an Ironman match draw. 3) Kurt Angle (WK 2 October 2010 - ) : I'm pretty sure this 4 month reign is the longest anyone has had for anything. It's going to end at the next PPV, to Jack Swagger, of all people, to set up Angle's face turn in an injury angle. Swagger has a Next Big Thing gimmick that is A* and he's gotten ridiculously over for some reason. Barring an injury or something not working, Angle will win the title back in May.

Just a random question, but has anyone else ever tried stealing workers? I tried doing this once and it screwed up my game so I got a run time error. I would love to do it again, but am afraid of getting the same problem. So does anyone steal workers and not have problems with it? I think I might give it a shot since I backup my games anyway, but hate to do it and get excited about it and then have the game crash. By steal, do you mean fairly (as in, a worker's contract is running out in another company and you sign the worker to a deal) or do you mean using arsenic with the 'easy steal' button? I've done it both ways and haven't had any problems. I mean steal as in the first way you mentioned. I never use arsenic as it seems like it would take all the fun and surprise out of it.

Alright, so I just booked my Wrestlemania:
-Zack Ryder won the pre-show Battle Royal. Since guys like Big Show, Mark Henry and Kane didn't have spots, it wasn't as jobber-iffic as normal. -Dolph Ziggler and Kofi Kingston retained the Tag titles in a 4-Way Elimination Match against Santino Marella/Yoshi Tatsu, Cody Rhodes/Antonio Cesaro and Evan Bourne/Justin Gabriel. -Christian wins Money In The Bank against Alberto Del Rio, Sheamus, Wade Barrett, R-Truth and Jack Swagger. -Daniel Bryan cheats to beat Randy Orton and wins back the World title after losing it at Elimination Chamber. -Undertaker over Triple H with Shawn Michaels as Guest Referee. No shenanigans. -CM Punk over Chris Jericho to retain the WWE title. Match of the show with 100 Match Quality and 98 Overall) -Had The Miz protest not having a match and he was given a Stone Cold Stunner by Steve Austin. Was hoping this would get a better rating considering Miz somehow became the #1 heel in the WWE in my game, despite being booked kinda like a chump. -John Cena beat The Rock. The winner was booked at the last minute. I had debated having Cena lose and go on a hiatus but I doubt I'm gonna use Rock much after Mania either so I let Cena win.

Quick question: Is there a limit to how many people on the roster that end up marrying long-lost daughters of the board of directors? I'm only asking because I'm six months in and it's already happened three times (for those wondering, Derrick Bateman, Sheamus, and Johnny Curtis). It really sucks with Sheamus because he's losing overness, but refuses to go down the card.
Also, in a bit of irony, Antonio Cesaro gets injured right before I'm going to start a feud between him and Mysterio. So when he recovered, I had him attack Mysterio on his first night back, hoping to start the feud once on of the feud slots opened up. But the very next day, Rey injures his ankle and is out for two months.

Just an EWR question: How do you get those "odd" scenarios to pop up in your games? ("Odd" as in deaths, ODs, marrying into the boss' family - just out of the ordinary things?) All I get is the occasional injury or "incident". Is it the particular game you DL or is it a setting?
I have the 4.2 and it doesn't seem as wacky or interesting.
(And I've tried but can't get any of those DL to work, even doing it exactly as it says.)
I'd really like to "get into" the game again.

I'm not at home right now, but I think 4.2 is the latest version that mostly everyone has. Anyway, here is what I've seen for the incidents you've mentioned. Deaths: Deaths do not occur in the latest version of EWR or any version of EWR that I know of. I have heard that deaths happen in TEW, which is what some posters have referred to. ODs: Likewise ODs do not happen either. However, wrestlers can become addicted to alcohol or drugs and must either be sent to rehab or sometimes check themselves in. Workers marrying the boss' daughter: This one happens all the time. In general incidents pop up differently and are completely by chance. Sometimes I can go months it seems without getting an incident and other times it seems like I am getting a ton of them. It is also worth mentioning that the more shows you have the longer it may seem for incidents to happen. This is because less in-game time is passing since you have to book say three shows a week rather than one a month. Hope that helps and makes sense.

This is because less in-game time is passing since you have to book say three shows a week rather than one a month. Hope that helps and makes sense. It does. I'm not actively HOPING for this stuff to happen: I play as Calgary and get enough crap from unsackable Bruce Hart not wanting to do the J-O-B to anybody. (Or, Bruce going on the radio and stirring up stuff.) So, if he's a tag champion (no way I'm putting a singles belt on him) I stage an assault angle, take him out and have him replaced. Then they drop the belts and everybody (but Bruce) is happy. Only time I've ever had luck is the one time he announced his retirement in one month. Then I put him as Authority and he hated it. Thanks for the help. *** EDIT: Well, I thought I'd give it one more try and I was able to successfully DL the January 1986 scenario! (It's not all accurate to the timeline, but I'll make do.) I'm not 3 days into it, and already seen some interesting moves among the areas. WWF: Fired Dave Hebner, Chief Jay Strongbow & Rene Goulet from their staff, and brought in Lou Thesz, Tarzan Goto and Todd Gordon. They also cut a lot of their pretty boy announcers: Sean Mooney (Who?) and Craig DeGeorge, plus sent Lord Alfred Hayes packing as well. They also signed some Japanese guy. Won't ever make it; too Japanese. Some guy named Jushin Liger. NWA: Hired Strongbow and both Tiger Masks. Fired Nick Patrick. AWA (me): Jimmy Garvin's out 2 months with a broken ankle. I have 2 TV shows a week. Eric Bischoff & Joe Blanchard call my Thursday ESPN show, while I got Lee Marshall & Greg Gagne calling my Saturday evening events. (No Rod Trongard! The travesty!) I hired Brad Armstrong (before realizing the UWF had Tim Horner on a written deal, oops!) and let go of a lot of slugs on my roster. (No way I'm paying Brian Knobbs $170,000 per appearance when Jerry Sags isn't even there.) My feuds: (C) Stan Hansen vs. Nick Bockwinkel. (C) Scott Hall & Curt Hennig vs. Kokina Maximus & Leon White (Funny one was the Midnight Rockers vs. Badd Company. Marty Jannetty has the nerve to say they aren't in the same league and shouldn't be feuding with them. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) ) If I remember, I'll try and keep y'all updated.

Alright, I have an odd question. Does anybody else get events where the Overall Rating is lower than the other ratings in the segment? For example, my last Smackdown main event was a handicap match between Sin Cara and Hunico & Comacho. The Wrestling Quality and Crowd Reaction were both in the high 70s, but the Overall Rating was 66%. I want to know if it's my game or not.
Also, in the span of a week, I had two seperate injuries. Lilian Garcia broke her nose, and was gone for all of three days (happened right at the end of the month), and the Genesis of Mcgillicutty had a major injury and is out for over a year. Also, Vince is retiring at the end of the month. On the plus side, I was able to get a Prime Time show on the TV-14 Network, so NXT is coming back!

Still hammering out my AWA 1986 scenario. (To be honest, it looks like a combination of all AWA rosters from 1986-91. I don't recall the Destruction Crew on the same roster as Hall & Hennig.)
I dropped to Cult status. I boosted my morality to 36% to get more AWA type of matches (can't get cage matches at only 20%), and two sponsors dropped me.
Low morale resulted in my releasing The Midnight Rockers and Larry Zbyszko from their written deals. -Rockers didn't like losing to Badd Company, even though the feud was over huge and garnering 4-star matches every week. (Marty was the biggest crybaby. never wanting to job to anybody.) -Larry didn't want to feud with Brad Armstrong. (Then again, nobody wanted to see them feud.) -Scott Hall may be next, his morale is around 34%. (After Curt turns on him, I'll let him go.)
The Stan Hansen vs. Nick Bockwinkel feud is running white-hot, even if Nick senses the fans are starting to resent him.
AWA World Champion: Stan Hansen. (Had a great match with Steve Williams at the May "St. Paul" card. Complains that Steve worked him too stiff...LOL.)
AWA World Tag Champs: With Curt Hennig injured, Scott Hall asked Scott Norton to defend the titles with him. Norton lost to The Plainsmen: Bobby Duncum Jr. & Joel Deaton. They just signed Dutch Mantell as their manager. Hall & Norton are feuding. John Nord got involved and now Curt Hennig is back from a tricep injury.
AWA Light Heavyweight: Chris Candido. (Pretty good feud with Johnnie Stewart. Chris has good matches with everybody.)
AWA Int'l TV: Jeff Jarrett just beat "Dynamic Dude" Shane Douglas for the new belt in a "face vs. face" feud. (Shane's going through a slow burn of a turn to heel in revenge.)
I'd mention Madusa is the AWA Women's champion, but I just lost former champion Candi Devine (9 months) and Sherri Martel (3 months) to injury, and Luna Vachon to rehab, so there's really nobody left for her to wrestle except Magnificent Mimi.
It's pretty fun. All these old feuds and matches are coming back to me.

It's called the Bad Day Syndrome. The idea is that there is a 1 in 25 chance that the show will not click with the crowd, regardless of what you book. Thus resulting in the Overall rating being lower than the match and crowd quality.

So, TEW, 2005 scenario. I clean up everybody's rosters so it's a free for all really. First WWE show and here comes one of the best things ever:
Stephanie McMahon defeated Rob Van Dam for the WWE Cruiserweight Title.
BURRIED~!

First WWE show and here comes one of the best things ever: Stephanie McMahon defeated Rob Van Dam for the WWE Cruiserweight Title. BURRIED~! Looks like me playing SmackDown: Shut Your Mouth. Stephanie runs into the Royal Rumble match and does her impersonation of Kane from 2001. *** On the AWA homefront, Curt Hennig just quit because I'm pushing Scott Hall for the AWA World title feud with Stan Hansen. Kinda bites, because I had just bumped Curt to Main-Eventer and he was going to feud with Nick Bockwinkel and put him out of wrestling "for good", then cost Hall the chance to beat Stan Hansen. (Oh, and seeing as they just defeated the Plainsmen for the tag belts, that's now the second time I need to get the tags off of Hall because of Hennig. I guess Badd Company will get them by default, using their feud with Buddy Rose & Doug Somers to win the belts.) Meanwhile, Jeff Jarrett lost his TV belt to a returning "Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin in a feud garnering great heat. (Jeff is my #1 babyface. Fans love him.) Chris Candido is in a three-way feud with Johnnie Stewart and Jerry Lynn for the Lt. Hvywt. belt.

Alright, so since I had to bump Wrestlemania back a week so I could have a March PPV, I just booked the remaining week until April. I don't have many angle developments but here are a few worth mentioning:
-I don't know what to do with Cena right now. I don't plan on using Rock much now. I had Cena beat Rock and I had the idea of turning him heel, proclaiming himself as "The New People's Champion" but I have too many heels as it is. I thought about bringing in a big name, either Batista or Brock Lesnar, but both men have too many Dislike relationships. Plus Brock is working in Japan now. -The Punk/Jericho and Bryan/Orton feuds are still going and I'm going to combine the two. Jericho is claiming that even though Punk beat him at Mania, he refuses to "pass the torch" and instead proclaimed Daniel Bryan as the new "Best In The World", since he let him win the Royal Rumble. -The Miz is going up against Triple H in a do-over of the whole "vote of no confidence" angle from last year. I'll bring back Johnny Ace as a possible GM and maybe even Kevin Nash since he's not doing anything else. -However, on the Smackdown side of things, I had Mark Henry lay out Teddy Long, leaving Smackdown without a GM for the time being. -Originally, Derrick Bateman ignored RUN NXT's (my poor man's equivalent of the New Nation) intentions to take over NXT and instead spent his time flirting with Kaitlyn But when Johnny Curtis kidnapped Kaitlyn and gave her to RUN NXT, things got personal. This is all set up for Bateman to become the guy on NXT but when the Draft comes, which will probably be here soon, I think I'm just gonna send Bateman and Kaitlyn to Smackdown.
And now that it's the first of the month, here's some business dealings:
-The contracts for Jinder Mahal and Rosa Mendes have run out and both are now gone. Because I can. -Ric Flair retired from in-ring competition and is now a Road Agent...so I signed him since he wasn't under contract to TNA. TNA's response? They sign New Jack to a Written contract. ;D (For the record, my WWE is #1 and not at war with anyone. WDW started up but I edged out above them and WDW and TNA are competing instead. Both companies are at the lower end of the Global spectrum while I'm near the top.) -Developmental graduates for the month are Sakamoto, Xavier Woods, Sofia Cortez, Christina Crawford, DT Porter and Dante Dash. Most of them are going to NXT. I'll probably pair Christina with her sister Alicia. I might put DT and Dante together as a makeshift tag team, possibly with Abraham Washington as a mouthpiece (though I'm running his contract out too). Though it seems like between those three and RUN NXT (JTG, Darren Young, Titus O'Neil and Ezekiel Jackson) among others, I feel like I could have a giant New Nation on NXT with like 20 members. -Shimmer, OVW and NWA Hollywood have gone bankrupt. So I signed Portia Perez and Nicole Matthews to Development deals.

lol, ROH just signed the Great Khali to a Written contract in my game.
And because they've been working so well together, I just made Brodus Clay and Mason Ryan a regular team. Their team name: The Power of Funk.

In my TEW game, something finally happened backstage. Three fights in one night! Chris Sabin got into two. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) Armando Estrada ended up getting fired, Jack Evans and Chavo were fined, and Sabin got fined, but then he mouthed off to me, which led to a suspension because he was also late. Now Sabin strongly dislikes me. That was pretty cool, I was waiting for something to happen. I guess bringing all of the developmental people up to the roster stirred things up a bit.

I'm having trouble finding a feud for John Cena. I'm sticking him in a Last Man Standing Match (or something) against Mark Henry at Extreme Rules but I doubt that'll be an actual feud. I'm putting Mark Henry in my anti-HHH stable with Miz, Johnny Ace and David Otunga after he was fired from Smackdown but I don't really have Cena worked into that program yet. Here's a list of people I'd like to bring in but can't, because reasons:
Batista - Dislikes Booker T, Non-Wrestler Brock Lesnar - Dislikes Big Show, HHH and Taker, Works in Japan Bobby Lashley - Non-Wrestler Bob Sapp - Non-Wrestler Ken Shamrock - Non-Wrestler Giant Bernard - Maybe, but only at 65 Overness, plus I'd rather team him with Karl Anderson. James Storm - TNA contract almost up but buying it out will be more than I'd like to pay. Samoa Joe - My #1 pick but there's still tons of time on his TNA contract.
