...is in the works? I can still pick up this game and play it with joy. I really would like a prequel, to be honest.
Yes, I do know about and may buy LA Noire. I just would like another western game and more about John Marston from his past.

As good as the first one did, I would think so. It'd almost have to be a prequel though considering the end. And if there is a prequel, I want bows and arrows dammit lol.
One thing that concerns me I read in Game Informer. Apparently Activision is making a hard press to buy Take Two, RS parent company. Heres hoping they dont, and if they do, they dont make RS push these games out annually.

I honestly doubt they're developing it now, because they tend to focus on one major sandbox game at a time, and I imagine that GTA V is their next big project. Plus, other then add ons and spin offs, they tend to give their franchises time off between games.
I do, however, think that they're definitely planning it, or have it earmarked for sometime in the future. First big release on the next gen systems perhaps? Speculation is saying they should be out by 2013 so that would only put 3-4 years between games.

It's not about Marston, but you could always go back and play the original Red Dead Revolver.
Or as far as another western game, you could try GUN, if you haven't yet.

I doubt a true sequel will be made. Rockstar doesn't like to go that route. Redemption was a follow-up to Revolver, though they were not connected at all. I'm sure we'll get another Red Dead Western game in the future, but not connected to either plot.
On that note, I want my Bully II.

I sure hope do. RDR 2 or GTA 5 would make me wet myself in excitement.

There will almost definitely be a sequel eventually, but I hope they get around to making GTA V first.
They'll probably release GTA V in 2012, and RDD 2 sometime in the next 2 years.

They can afford to work on multiple games now. I mean we are all expecting the next GTA game to be announced at E3 this year, and it'll probably come out in May of next year(May seems to be Rockstar's golden release month now, much like how September is Bungie's golden release month).

I'm not sure how I feel about a sequel, unless they abandon the entire Western thing and focus on the 20s. Also, PLEASE get Jack a new voice actor.

So maybe continue as Jack with a better voice actor?
Red Dead Revenge or something of the sort.

Only a prequel would work. The ending too Red Dead closed everything quite nicely and the game takes place during the last years of the wild west. It won't be really a cowboy game no more. A prequel may work for the story alone but there isn't much you can do to expand the gameplay. I guess you could focus more on gang battles against other gangs and sheriffs, bows n arrows, always being wanted, rpg elements, and knife/fist fights but it's essentially the same game and sounds to linear to be a rockstar sandbox game.
It'll still be one of my favorite games ever most likely.
