I just rewatched it, the weirdest part to me was Mark Henry's voiceover. He's laughing the whole time through it. I love Bateman, but this was just weird, everything he has done on NXT has been much better. I know right! Why did they have Mark Henry cracking up on the voiceover? Did they only do one take or was that the best take they had?

Bateman smelling the shoe sealed the deal for me. I'm watching tomorrow night, finally.

deadly serious. nxt had spawned nexus, short lived low ki stint on wwe tv, short but sweet. and the awesome "this is turd and we know it is" commentary on season 3. far more entertaining than raw and smackdown put together. STILL not sure if serious. i am super serial right now. i could not be more serial if i was made out of coco pops.

Could've replaced the Divas match with it and I wouldn't have missed a thing.

Bateman is the only one guaranteed to stay based off immunity points. Last time they had that stupid "THIS CHALLENGE IS WORTH FOUR POINTS!" thing the week of elimination that made the previous challenges mostly pointless.

Did he win a contest to appear on Raw like Alex Riley did during Season 2 of NXT? If he did, I'll understand why he did that promo. If not, then I wonder if the other NXT Rookies will get their own promos advertising fake products for the next few weeks.

I was surprised by it and I thought it was funny when he try to get that smell to go away especially smelling his sock. I want to watch NXT but I don't know if I want to I haven't watched it since season 2 and beginning for season 3.

The way he dressed, I thought they gave him Dr. Cable Jones's gimmick to Bateman.
Its bad segments like these that show that Raw and NXT really does have different writers. If only NXT was a legit brand and not a stepping stone into getting into Raw or SD!

Pretty bad segment. I was disapointed since I enjoy him on NXT

I thought it was pretty stupid too but Bateman was good delivering crappy material. Dude's got charisma.

I just loved NXT 3 and NXT 1 for different reasons, and wasn't sure about these new guys. But Darrick Bateman is Gold. People complain about what's going on with Daniel Bryan, but Derrick Bateman is making him like 10 times more interesting int he non wrestling department. Also I hear Dolph Ziggler's pretty funny, and Maryse is hotter there for some reason. And this guy who looks like a rat, and decided to run with it.

It had potential, but seemed too goofy. It's like the WWE saw that he had comedic ability, and then decided to put him in a skit to tell the crowd "Hey, look at him, this guy is funny, he is a funny guy, why arent you laughing?"

I don't get why the NXT rookies aren't coming ringside or backstage with their pros on RAW anymore? Do they just have little faith in them this season? We could have Derrick Bateman delivering one liners with the Bellas, Brodus looking intimidating during DiBiase's matches, Byron Saxton being cocky with the crowd, Conor O'brian driving Del Rio's car and Johnny Curtis being... Charming?

I've liked Bateman's NXT stuff but I was disappointed by the utter lack of humor in the entire segment. The idea could have been funny....but none of his lines were.

It was definitely prepping the audience. No matter what happens at this point, it's over for the other 4 NXT rookies.

I assumed it was to just keep Mark Henry's yearly Worlds Strongest Man mini-Rumble-push a litttle further really.

It's like the WWE saw that he had comedic ability, and then decided to put him in a skit to tell the crowd "Hey, look at him, this guy is funny, he is a funny guy, why arent you laughing?" Ahh, the WWE's version of canned laughter ;D I remember back in 2008 it used to be a random dancing segment featuring Khali, Funaki and a few other randomers. Like they were screaming "laugh laugh! we've got a giant and a Japanese guy dancing! It's random and funny!" Even though it actually wasn't. Now it seems to be lame, badly written segments.
